    Hey Guys,

Was planning on doing some Front End work this coming weekend but I'm not the greatest at understanding wiring (Superfan of all things Plug and Play). But I just can't stand the way the Diode Dynamics Stealth Bar switch looks (completely not factory).

I went ahead and ordered a MicTuning Light Bar button in hopes that i could do away with this ugly thing and at least have something "Stock" looking in it's place.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0117B1J3W

Problem is, this Switch came with 4 wires compare to the 3 on the Diode Dynamics one. What do I need to do to make this work in place of the toggle button? I want the replacement switch to light up when the Dash gets turned on, and when I'm toggling the button on only.

I've tried to Google this request and I saw some promising details but nothing that flat out says Tundra specifically. I'm turning to the Guru's here to help tell me where to solder/t-tap/crimp/etc...

    Thanks in advance

According wiring diagram for the switch you purchased:

1 (Green) = 12v power source (ie. battery)
2 (Red) = connect to the power input for the light bar
3 (Red) = Illumination circuit (connect to the 12v+ for other dashboard switches, so it illuminates with headlights on)
    4 (Black) = Chassis Ground

Hey Tim did you ever get your light bar hooked up? I have a similar setup but I’m having issues with the wiring. I have my red 1 (from the switch) connected to the blue wire on the harness. I have green going to white and black going to black. I don’t have the red 2 wire on the switch (red wire next to the black wire on the switch) connected right now. The switch lights up when pressed but the light bar won’t turn on. Any ideas?

Thanks for the link. I followed the videos to the “T” but still no luck. I tested the light bar and it does work. I also replaced the relay and the fuse. They only thing I can think of is maybe the harness is bad? The switch will power on so the harness should be good right?

There might be a chance the harness can be bad… where did you get the harness?

I’m using the wiring harness that came with the light bar from Diode Dynamics. I may order another harness from them to see if that fixes it. If not I may have to take it to a shop and have someone else troubleshoot it.

I’m using the below stock wiring harness from Diode Dynamics. Do you think I should try to make my own harness? 9DEE6441-8CCD-4942-A78E-BF4E9265C06A.jpg

Honestly, go to your local HF and pick up their wiring harness. Same exact one as the CaliRaisedLED and I’m sure it’ll be the same as your DD harness.

They’re all the same 14ga stranded wires.

First if you have the quick connect on the harness from switch to relay pull it apart. Turn the switch on and check for power at the connector on the switch side. If power there move to to the relay. Check for power in to the relay. Next check for power out of the relay. Make sure you use the corresponding grounds when testing.

I just wanted to give you guys a quick update. I went to HF and bought a new wiring harness. After installing the new harness everything worked! Thank you all for your advice. I really do appreciate it.

I see you got the 30” stealth and the DD fog in amber. How do you like that color combo white and amber?

I love the color combo. I went with the DD Sports and they are brighter than I thought they would be. The nice thing about them is that they are street legal. The 30 inch light bar is great for lighting up dirt/back roads. I’m happy with the setup so far.

If you haven’t ordered yet I would wait for Labor Day weekend. DD is always running sales on holidays.

I ordered already from hotshot off-road. Any idea what the discount may be?

No I’m not sure. I haven’t seen anything yet. Enjoy the lights. I think your going to be happy with them. Post pics once you get them installed.

Going through this process now myself. Posting this video below in addition to what's been posted above in case anyone finds it helpful. It's got a little more detail on the accessory/"valet" lighting of these buttons (illuminated when headlights are turned on vs only illuminated when button is activated).
