Same here! Went to put the painted over the chrome and it didn't fit, then I realized it was a replacement. Less sturdy being only plastic instead of metal but I haven't had any issues with them.

I bought it all from OEM Painted Parts. They were very easy to work with.

Yeah, would have helped to have another person but I was able to do it. Removed entire lower bumper and replaced caps then reinstalled whole piece.

Since you have it off might as well get everything you want to down there. Fog lights, lower bumper light bar and brackets, I also swapped out that middle piece from the Grey to the black piece.

Yes, I was contemplating on drilling a hole underneath the frame. Just make sure the design of the rock lights wiring are on the back. I looked at Baja Designs, Rigid Industries, but their rock light wires comes out on the side, and I wasn't gonna pay $200-300 for some rock lights. Besides, I only need them to come on/off when going in/out of the truck.

The brand I went with was called 4WDKING White LED Rock lights off from Amazon. 4 pod lights for $46. Super bright, and it works as intended.

Post some pics when you do finish this project. Good luck on the build.

Did you use the epoxy or just mount it without? I heard the epoxy is just a fail safe.

There are alternatives just as an fyi. I used 3m tape mounted led strips and they have been in place for two years with no issue.

Replaced the shift knob with a black TRD one.
Love almost everything about the truck except for the horrible silver handle thing that comes standard. Very happy with the new one.
Even got it for a decent price from the states. Crazy that the dealerships here want $188 Canadian for it.

I’m having a hard time picking which emblems to keep on my tailgate. I currently have the RED ones on since I have some red accents on my truck, however I will be deleting all the chrome soon and think a BLACK emblem would look nicer. What do you guys thinks?

Truck looks great. Never thought the 'Tundra' in red would look good, but you pulled it off!
I have the black lettering, I'm glad I did it. I got the actual 'Toyota' ones hoping that the odd letter wouldn't fall off in a year. Maybe they are all the same.
Unrelated: I've never been a fan of the stickers on the end of the box, I just think paint looks better than those stickers, just me.
    Again, super nice truck!

I think something like this would be awesome on there.

I just put the black oem ones on but now I am thinking about removing all of the black badges, replace the tailgate letters with MGM colored letter to match the wheels, grill, and headlights on my white trd sport and then replacing the black door handles with white.

What do I think? I think no emblem at all would be the ticket Tastefully understated and all that. Sometimes too much of a good thing is just too much. I definitely think that about the red. Black might be looked at by the unknowing masses as just "factory". But in the end, it only matters what you think.

I vote black. I had your same train of thought, purchased the red to replace OEM black but sent them back. My truck is white with blackouts and red accents (hooks, sways, calipers, susp etc). Started buying all red accessories and quickly red became the primary trim color. Decided to start taking red off and back to black. I needed to slow down with the accessories, got excited with the new truck! Just my .02

I like the wheels, I have the same style on the same truck but they are silver and grey. May need to get some black ones.
