Very interesting and thanks for the feedback. One of my buddies has an AT4 w/ the 6.2 and when I told him I went with the Pro (in part bc I prefer the older technology in the "dated" Tundra over stuff like AFM), he said "I'm glad you didn't buy an AT4." He's since traded his in as well. A shame really - that's such a fantastic truck on paper.

Guys, I'm getting Line-X done this Wednesday and I've been debating filling the seam in the front of the bed prior to applying Line-X. From the research I've done, people are divided on the topic (shocking, right?). On my old truck the gap is there and there is a bunch of crap stuck in there that I can't get out. I guess the purpose of that gap is to drain the water from the bed when the truck is parked "nose down", but then, if there is crap stuck in there, then water will not drain anyways. So I've been going back and forth on the issue for a month now. Thoughts?

I’ve never bothered on my trucks. I haul dirt, gravel, compost, hay, etc. all the time and stuff gets in there. It’s a truck. I hose it out well every so often and move on with my life…

    Question.

My Lunar Rock allocation when I type the VIN on the Toyota Owners VIN Search doesn't show any port options. Does this mean the bed liner, inlay, safe, and tail gate lock are being installed by the dealer?

Those options are performed at the distribution dealers like SET, GST… mine didn’t show any options either on the VIN search. But rest assured they’ll be there when the truck arrives.

Right. But usually it's listed under Factory & Port Options but these aren't. So it seems like the truck is coming bare bones and the dealer is doing all of that after ? Here is a VIN from an allocation I cancelled. Mine just says the 50 state emission and TRD Pro package factory. The rest isn't listed

Here was mine, it showed zero port options but it did have liner and GST specific packages, Nitto RG tires and running boards

Does your liner have the Tundra stamp?

I know it's silly and dumb but I like that bed liner stamp in the back.

Damn that must mean these are dealer installed. Well at this stage I guess I can’t be picky.

I drove through here after picking up my LRPro from Minnesota. Really pretty area, wish I could have hung out instead of just passing through.

Mine showed all my options as port installed like you are saying. My dealer said they could install all of it and I specifically asked it all to be done by the factory. They may have taken the liberty to elect for you that it will all be dealer installed. Would check on it….

I think that's what happened. Like I said, it ain't a deal breaker as long as all the options are installed. Given that I'm flying in, I'll make them do a video walkaround. I'm curious how they will do the rear seat USBs at the dealer though. The aren't supposed to replace the 12v but rather supplement.

I’ve watched a video of it being done. It’s very simple. They just tap into the cigarette lighter wiring.

Is there a punchout on the console of where it should go or do they just kinda choose where to drill a hole ?

I had a 2020 at4 but I got rid of it because of all the electrical gremlins. One day the dash lights went haywire. Another day the radio wouldn’t respond to anything. It just kept having issues and I figured if it’s having these issues now under warranty, I wonder what would happen after the warranty was up.

Halfway down seems to be the sweet spot for me. It gives me good airflow but keeps leaves and debris in the bed from getting sucked into the cab.

Any time I open a side window, I crack the rear window.
And any time I see a "big 3" truck pull up behind me. :D

But never if I've got a load of loose material (hay, dirt, bark dust) in the bed.

Depends on who is installing it. I have seen it replace the cigarette lighter, which is what I will be doing, or I have seen people drill a new hold and tap into the wires going to the lighter outlet.

I figured out how to fix the volume issues with the stereo. You have to navigate somewhere, then, after the first voice guidance command, the volume returns to normal.

But I shouldn't need to do that to make my $60k truck work. I knew it wouldn't be long until I found others like me.
