I have a story to tell before the question...

Woke up this morning, got rdy for work and go out to my truck and apparently there was an orgy of birds in the try above my drive way... Let's just say holy shit! There was a ton of it!

So here's the question how do you guys go about spot cleaning? Short term fix but I plan on washing my truck soon but need to clean this poop before then cause it's nasty!

Long term fix... Cutting down all thouse trees near my driveway... Atleast trim all branches over driveway...

    Bah!

just get a stool softener and rub liberally on affected area, rinse with warm water.

ohhhh we're talking about ON the truck? ok nevermind.....:anonymous:

just yanking yer chain! I just spray with a hose, wipe off and make a point to wash the truck within a week or so to prevent serious damage.
My truck is usually waxed so I'm not too worried about it penetrating *snicker* the clearcoat.

@Law323 Haha ya @WarEagleSteve knows his stuff! I've been reading that how to detail your truck thread so much info! lol just got my truck last week so I don't have much stuff for a NICE car wash... with my wife's car it was just kinda like meh wash it but doesn't need to shine... lol but not now!!

So I do have a question... in the detailing thread it talks about a sealant... what exactly is considered a sealant? sorry for the stupid question... like i said all new to me.

not a dumb question! that's how we learn, asking questions good and dumb! LOL
i don't have much knowledge on sealant, i just figure a paste wax two or three times a year plus spray on in between does the trick!

But then again, I don't live in an area where we see a lot of snow and salt.
