Well if you need or want to kick someone, a target that is immobile and prostrate is preferable. Less work to kick them and less risk of getting kicked in return!

Not a head scratcher that it was testing with a Navigator if the new Tundras powertrain is most likely going into the new Sequoia.

EDIT: oops they mention that in the video. Guess I should have watched it before commenting

I was hoping Fords electrical woes were behind them, but obviously they continue. Pretty sad it's taking years now and they still can't make a reliable electrical system. Not sure there are as many problems with the HD trucks or the Mustang? At least I have not heard as much, which means nothing to no one but me. To me...This shows that Ford knows where their reputation lives and breathes. If it was my money I wouldn't buy a Ford unless it was an HD or a Mustang GT. YMMV.

I know it's not the same, but I had a 19 Ranger, and while I thought the power was great, I'm not a fan of the transmission. Same 10 speed is used in the F150, I wouldn't even consider one. I've been a Ford fan all my life, but now I don't know that I'll buy another.

Ford never seems to be able to figure out a modern automatic transmission.

Meanwhile GM literally has basically an identical co-developed unit and reviews on it are quite positive from a transmission tuning and shift quality standpoint.

No complaints except the wheels, but I’ve made my opinions on big wheels with low profile tires on trucks or off road capable SUV’s known.

Good news chrome fans, those mirrors in chrome hint at the whole front end being done up in glorious chrome! LOL.

I guess the only engine GM makes to put in front of the 10 speed that doesn’t:

1.) Have a cam position sensor issue resulting in no start *cough recent production 3.0L Duramax cough*.

2.) Have a variable displacement system with lifters that may or may not fail and wipe out the cam aka 5.3 and 6.2… which would be basically bullet proof if just allowed to be V8’s like God intended.

So that leaves the 6.6L Duramax as the only engine in front of the new 10 speed that works right.

Brutal. Good on you for admitting it. Not going to kick you while you're down. I absolutely HATE having problems with vehicles. That's why I bought this 14 year old brand new truck. Hope you get it sorted and don't take a bath on it when you end up selling.

Personally, I think they were notified by Toyota that they would be there in order to arrange a “leak” shot in the wild. Reasoning:
    • That location looks pretty darn remote. I highly doubt they just happened to stumble across a test sight.
    • They didn’t stick around or try to follow the test trucks in any manner. Just did one circle around it and moved on. My guess was part of their agreement for a quick shot and no follow through.
    Just my 2 cents.

I would think they'd consider the F150 as much their bread and butter as the SD. Have to keep the top sales numbers and all. But what do I know?

I am very conflicted about this, as I love some GM products, especially the current AT4 in both the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton. More than a few family and very close friends have made their livings working at GM. After purchasing 4 new GM vehicles consecutively between 2001 and 2007, I will never own another one. Every time I'm tempted, I am thankful for articles that remind me of the quality that company puts out.

    A bunch
This is really bad luck. I've always had little gremlins (dash HU reset has happened in a few Fords) but not the bad ones you mentioned. As much as I hate Ford's I expected it wouldn't be that bad. Hopefully they can make it a little better to get you through into a different truck.

Noise from the pillar is likely the window seal, the wind is getting under it somehow. Happens in my Tundra when I'm driving in strong (50 km/h+) crosswinds on the passenger side. Haven't found a fix for that yet.
