Also replaced my upstream O2 sensor yesterday as I was getting a P1135 code. Ive cleared the code, so hopefully that fixed it and it doesnt come back on. The plug on mine was in a pretty difficult spot so it took a lot longer than expected.

Mine came out pretty nice but wasn't cheap ($200). Still made the paint much less yucky to look at. I'm betting it's back to dirty now as it's been sitting at Speed Freak's for the maint work. I think I'm going to yank the headlights when I visit tomorrow and see how trashed they are, maybe I can drop them off for restoration if they are otherwise clean.

The shell is where mine looks the worst, clear is just peeling off like a wrapper.

I did the diff drop at first, but took it off. I don't think it made any difference to the cv angles and it was a pain with the skid plate because of the spacers.

In the past month or two my paints really started to look chalky. Hoping to revive it a bit but spaced on getting pictures of before so @bmf4069 will have to deal with pictures of only afterwards…like a lot of pictures lol

Caught the same virus that @empty_lord has bout them damn toyotas.

Today, I dipped my feet into the V8.
    20210823_124434.jpg

V8, 4WD, Regular cab, long bed. Lots of little items wrong with it.

    1. Shitty aftermarket JVC head unit.
    2. 4wd doesn't engage which is fine. Think it's fixable.
    3. Interior needs a good warshin
    4. Bed needs some dings and bings beat out.
    5. Needs tailgate.
    6. Needs sway bar links which I have
    7. Needs tail light assembly which I have
    8. Exhaust is shitey. Somebody cut out the cats and welded in straight pipes. If I'm redoing the whole exhaust, I may as well go for long tubes :D
Needs all fluids checked, changed, and done. Refreshed up to date.

Unknown timing belt, and water pump with thermostat. Tackle that first. Me thinks.

    $3,300.

@Tundra2 What size and type of tires? I like the tread. If you so desire, that white paint chalk can be mostly remedied. The headlights look new which is nice.

Have you had a chance to check the Toyota portal for work yet?

Minimal rust for a 2000 Tundra. 289K miles.

No clue on tires yet. I can update tomorrow. They are super loud at highway speeds though. No clue how old they are so that may be a factor as well.

Zero records on toy port. Starting from scratch.

Shit box chevy needs to go first. Need to quit dragging feet on that. Need to find good axle for swappable as rear end went e'splodey.

Easier for me to swap the whole axle than it is to swap the diff.

Totally remedied. Mine was worse than that. Truth is, I should've sealed my paint after to add some longevity, but between advice from the two of us who've actually made it happen, no doubt Junior can get it done.

Good price, good score. Curious to see how bad the inside with ~300k of ass-time in the seat.

I think you'll like the V8. Build thread, STAT!
