Yep, FJs and older 4Runners are getting up there now. I couldn't afford a used 4Runner so I bought a used Lexus GX460. ;)

I would guess your wife likes the "attention" from the weirdos that think Jeeps are "cool". ;) Should have lifted the GX and put 33s on it.

FJ's are absolute units, tough, reliable, look amazing when modded and high quality once you get past the AC evaporator issue. Not to mention a collectors item :D

Edit: Evaporator! not condenser. my bad :(

    AC condenser?

I had one for years and never heard of this. Only issues I knew of were early 07s having bad rear ends that grenaded, this was fixed quick by Toyota. The other was the pre 2010s had bad fender welds on the body and would crack causing deformation at the hood cowl.

When I worked at the yota dealer (in service) I recall at least 4 FJ's with this issue... cant remember the years affected but I was told this was quite common, matter of fact the original part was discontinued/replaced by a an improved one.

Very sorry, it was the AC Evaporator (inside)... I always confuse the two

It’s all superficial, she likes the jeep because it’s “cute”.
