Well, Berkely power bait is very similar in consistency and not too far off in color. Not sure on the flavor though

I've really been wanting to get out one more time to try and get some bass and bluegill before the winter season, just too much shit to do lately.

I joke, but after last year and Isaias. Even though it was a tropical storm we lost power for a week. After that we now have a back up generator. I am just hoping that the wife doesn't do her norm and dilly dally with her family on the cape, and leaves tomorrow early as she is planning to and get back here. On the plus side maybe I will finally get the new roof I have been trying to get :notsure:.

Pretty much. But that's when they stock trout. And it actually does get cold at some lakes

In another way winter time can suck because of the snow birds, we have some neighbors that are birds, old af, but they walk everyday. I don’t really like that they aren’t home that long and no one stays at the house, only landscapers for the most part stopping by.
But the traffic gets bad when the flock arrives

Spent March-May in Show Low back in 2000. It got chilly at night.
I’ve also spent the first week of August in Tempe and Scottsdale. Oof!

Yep, have a couple that own a house on my cul-de-sac, only see them in the winter.

If we had the money I would like to have a summer house in the Show Low area. Kind of a reverse snowbird.

Seemed like a lot of people do that. We were having a hard time booking rooms to stay for the end of that job, and they told us that after Memorial Day not to even bother if we weren’t booked the year before.

that was also back when there was a small airline running flights from PHX up to Show Low. Six seats plus the copilot seat. And they weighed you with your luggage

Yeah, but there’s a lot that is made solely north of the border (or was when I was younger). Brands like Old Dutch and such weren’t made down here. Their Cadbury and Nestle chocolate was all made up there and tasted very different.

Of course, now I eat organic fair trade small batch 85% single origin hand made by 8th generation cocao farmers snob chocolate, so I’ve got different first world problems now. :D

Got hit today, so this in fact is WAR. The little Fu#ker chose one of their favorite places to chew on our Tunny's. Not sure how the little bastard did it, but he managed to chew off the thin black outer fabric without really damaging the foam underneath. Was able to touch it up with some paint and a foam brush, but this is far from over. :annoyed: :)

We don't have those natural disaster situations here, but I still like to be prepared. This is why I always keep, at minimum, at least two 30 packs of Miller Lite in the garage fridge cause , you know, survival.

Wasn't too many months ago when the local supers were picked clean...ahh....pandemic...these items are simply long term storage but many folks that can't hit the super use Auguson Farms products for example. Some folks live a long ways from town. Great on extended camping and hunting trips after you eat the fresh food first...

After going through many storms we no longer do long term food storage. Most the time restaurants start to open a few days after the storm and the town is empty so getting in for a hot plate is very easy to do. Water is the one thing we really do use and beer. My other storm supplies are flashlights, chainsaw and good coolers.

Since I started spraying peppermint oil mixed with water and a little dish soap in the engine bay and wheel wells I haven’t had any mice in a vehicle. Used to have em all the time. Nests in the fuse box, hickory nuts stashed everywhere

From a distance. Too close and it burns your eyes, even really diluted. Can’t smell it in the cab unless you go overboard.

The only long term food storage we do is canning, but that's just more of a hobby my wife has. The worst that would ever happen is if the power went out during a monsoon storm for more that a few hours (very rare) in the summer. If that were ever to happen, I am prepared with my 3500w inverter generator for my travel trailer. More than enough juice to light up a few bulbs, a fan to keep cool, and most important, power the fridge to keep the beer cold.

Mine is definitely mouse related, had some droppings on the fuse box cover. Have also seen lots of others here with damage in the same location.
