    Get some pilot crackers. Goes great with fresh smoked salmon on them...beer or whiskey chaser. Pilot crackers are a bit bland with nothing on top.....they last forever tho

    We seldom get direct hits here. The OBX seems to deflect them, thanks @rons23 .
    We've only had two in my lifetime. Isabelle hit as a cat 1. We sat on our neighbor's covered front porch drinking beer. It ended up being not pleasant. Matthew was the other. It might have been a high end tropical storm when it made landfall, but it sucked. My pool liner floated. Major flooding everywhere.
    If it's going to hit you as a hurricane, even a cat 1, ignore my prep advice.
    I'm not into fear mongering, but not having power for two weeks and not being able to leave my block for a week becaus of downed trees gave me a different perspective.

    If you use velveeta it’s basically the same homogenized oil cheese flavored product, but you can cut it as thick as you want…and no pesky cellophane to peel
