I have heard nothing but great things about them from various Tundra folks and will be my choice of tuner should I ever decide to jump on the HPT platform with a charger. I find it difficult to vacate my investment in OVT atm.

BTW Welcome to the forum !

Unfortunately I did not take a measurement. Lexus claims 7.5 0-60mph and 15.7 1/4 mile.

Whatever this forum told me to do
this was my Tundra in late July.

    before and after.

93 octane 25k on the odometer.

    92 degrees outside 1 billion% Houston humidity

    a steady ~6 lbs boost 2nd graph

I still grin every time I push the go pedal....like a jackass eating bed slats.

someone needs to invent some kinda grease to stop my Caltracs from squeaking. please.

    I was doin' some figgerin'..

the TRX has 707hp on 11lbs of boost. 2.35L blower

that is the EXACT ratio of boost I am making.

I'm getting 20hp per lb of added boost. on 2.65L blower

If I spun the harrop to 10.5 lbs of boost - BAM...i would be at ~700. <and adding proper air and fuel mods>

    or therabouts.

yes..I would toss a rod or spin a bearing. I know me.

@ViktorG will set me straight and burst my bubble with facts and real world application and shit.

so the TRX is not that special...just built to hold 11lbs of boost. I guess that's kinda special

The RAM TRX gets 583HP to the wheels, my truck was at 588HP to the wheels on the 85mm pulley with air/exhaust/fuel upgrades and a tune

The RAM has a larger base engine and is generating more boost for less power.

@armyoffoo ...no other internal changes? rods, rings, bearings?

if so, I'm gung-ho when 2020's get the ECU opened up.

    no regrets
    no issues
    no gas mileage

advice...get a OBD reader/code clearer I got a couple lean codes that need to be cleared. I think my ECU has learned my adolescence quotient & the codes have not re-appeared lately.

also check your coolant on the intercooler after a week or so. I needed to add a few ounces - I guess the bubbles settled. I used Prestone Asian.

Loving mine and haven't had any issues so far. Gas mileage seems to be about the same as before about 14 MPG, but love the stop and go traffic from the line. Its so effortless to get up to 50 MPH. I feel that the supercharger whine has gotten a little louder after break in. When I first got it, it didn't seem loud enough. Glad you got the shipping issue worked out, so who did you decide to go with install?

    I will add:

if you can afford it, the blower is awesome.

The old hot-rodders around the office here are amazed such a product exits. bolt on blower with intercooler using stock ECU...unbelievable

these guys have blown rods that are a chore to drive.

it performs exactly as expected. mine is stock ECU 2020 & it boogies.

as mentioned above - gas mileage is about the same, till you press the pedal on the right.

    passing is effortless.

I'm just now doing the tow/haul button. my goodness.

    items on the list:
    grease for the Caltracs
    Stage 2 upgrade
    trans cooler
go-fund-me account for my fuel bill

@nobodyintexas Thanks for the heads up and your input :)

@Platinum714 I know that feeling, I rode in your Tundra haha . I can’t wait !!We are going with AidenJames/SiBi Built, main guy was a Toyota Tech for 15yrs or so and he’s done a couple of TRDs.

Have you guys considered upgrading your driveshaft ? I’m getting mine done in a couple of weeks. I’m going with all Steel .

Gas mileage is the same but cost of gas is more since 87 vs 93.

I am really itching to get one installed but I don't think I can fully enjoy it here in NY metro area. Traffic has gotten worse than pre-pandemic.

Boost is not a great measure of performance or power and even dyno numbers will vary widely from one dyno to next.
The only thing that really matters is acceleration.
TRX runs the 1/4 mile in the 12.3-12.7@106-110 range and there is a Harrop powered crewmax Tundra out there with a pulley, tune and headers that did a 12.1@112
I’m sure that when tuning becomes available for your 2020, you’d be able to smoke the TRX if you wanted to.

not considered driveshaft, however, you should consider some type of traction bar...caltracs, etc.

the differential moves A LOT under acceleration. I'm guessing this is quite hard on the u joint.

mine is working great. however, I'm still trying to find the damn squeak. I think it's the rear bushing on the leaf springs.

I got the caltracs because they have that old school hot rod look....and @VictorG showed a video of the install.

    side note:
and if you turn off the nannies...yes, it will light the rear tires for about as long as you want to.

That’s why @VictorG had to transplant the Sequoia’s Torsen AWD / 4wd / 2wd transfer case into his daily driven Tundra. I wonder how difficult that would be on a 20/21 model year.

Can't be done quite yet. The Sequoia and Tundra T-Cases are of two totally different manufacture. I think the Sequoia is an Aisin and the Tundra has a Borg-Warner. That results in some electrical hurdles as well.

Tundras used a different Aisin prior to the 2014 redesign. I can’t imagine the Borg-Warner unit being too much cheaper, but with the full time AWD in 4Lo you can maneuver your trailer up the steep driveway without frying the transmission. Too bad that unit was only offered on the Sequoia.

they go from the bottom of your axle to the front leaf spring attachment. all that crap moves with the suspension, no?

I don't go off road - so I'll be the last person to rely on.

I figured out the Squeak on the suspension.

I lost one of the 4 nuts on my driver leaf spring u bolts. yikes!

lesson...re-torque your nuts a couple days after installing your Caltracs. <joke in there somewhere>

trying to find a M14x1.25 nut @ 6pm is quite the challenge. Thx Ace hardware. I got the stainless with nylon lockers.

I'm running 94-ish* octane this week. is there a difference? not that i can tell. I guess 93 octane does the job & fits in the ECU map.

however, I bet higher octane will matter once the 2020 ECU GETS OPENED UP!!!

*38 gallons of Costco 93 octane + 1 bottle of royal purple Max-boost octane boost. will raise 3 points in 25 gallons. or thereabouts.
all you MMT haters sit back down, it's only 1 bottle. and I like orange spark plugs.
