I did....But they keep calling back!!

-It's like the old "Whack a Mole" game....they keep popping up! At least there's only a few on the ignore list....there's mostly good people here that know there stuff, and I'll message them if I want to ask any questions about a Tundra.

What a bunch of childish behavior. Nothing like running the op's thread. Why not just pm each other instead

Lets get back on track - valve noise that sounds a bit like a sewing machine during light acceleration - normal?

I just bought a 2021 AG CrewMax Limited and I have this same loud whine at those approx speeds. Did the dealer ever fix it or explain it? Thx! Brandon

I traded the truck in at 17k miles because the dealer was useless. I would’ve kept it if the vibration in the steering would get solved but they literally wouldn’t even acknowledge it

Aw, man! I’m sorry! I hope you get another Tundra if you wanted one. I like my 2007 and love my 2021. I’m trying to get mine looked at soon. Hopefully they will do something about it, if it’s an issue.

So, I had a 40min ride to the dealership this morning with my truck “whining” constantly between 50-60MPH on county roads.

I’m getting the dealership to put on my lift and TRD Pro wheels with 35/12.5s this morning so I decided to get them to check out the noise BEFORE hand so I wouldn’t risk them blaming it on my big tires, etc.

I got the Toyota Tech to ride with me to hear it. He immediately recognized it. He’s fixed it in a couple of Tacoma’s already. The rear differential needs replaced. They’re ordering the parts. About a day of labor to replace it under warranty.

Is anyone else hearing this whining? I have right about 1,000 on my truck and it’s been there since the beginning.

The Tech said there shouldn’t ever be a catastrophic failure, somethings just not perfect in there.

Just hit my first 3k. Truck has been absolutely flawless and smoooth. Except for this morning. I had the battery disconnected overnight. Had my steering wheel apart to black it out and disconnected for airbag purposes. Of course I had the false start the first time. On my second start up, sounded like a terrible grinding noise, was just for a split second and I have not been able to reproduce. Hoping it was some weird one off.

Sounds like the AC compressor noise some of us have experienced randomly. My truck has done it twice in 14k miles. It’s brief but unnerving.

So this "thud" when moving the first 10-15 yards or so is normal? Because I was wondering about that myself
