    Hello all,

just took home a new TRD pro 2021 in super white, and noticed the paint at the bottom of the doors not painted properly? Is this normal? If not, what are my options? It’s like this on both sides.

    thank you

Normal, it’s a rubberized texture coating underneath the paint surface to absorb rock
    chips

    congrats on the new Pro

    Welcome from Delaware
    Nice truck.

The textured appearance is stone/gravel guard.
It’s applied before the body color.
You will find it consistently along the lower body panels.

Yeah it must be an add-on which somehow I got for free because it’s not on the window sticker, or all tundra pros like this? I don’t remember my 4Runner ORP having this.

I’m pretty sure every tundra has had this as a standard feature for at least 7 years. Don’t know about Tacoma’s

It’s standard on the Tundra. Chip guard. Be glad you have it.

    Lots of shenanigans.
My TRD PRO has the same. Nothing to worry about.
