They might have have changed, but you might want to set yourself up for disappointment with the pixel. I had a pixel and loved it at first. As time went on I encountered problem after problem related to the build quality of their hardware. I had the same issue with their mesh WIFI system. I hate to say it, but I am now on an iphone.

 

Interesting. We'll see I guess. I'm provided an iPhone for work and I'll never get one as a personal phone. I hate Apple products. I find them clunky, slow and unintuitive.

 

How long did it take for issues to show up on your Pixel?

 

It was about a year in. I loved the phone too, not having all of the extra crap running in the background. It just got so bad that I gave it away and went over to Apple; which is saying a lot because I have always been anti-Apple.

 

I've had mine for almost 9 months.

 

I used to be a big Google fan but now the only thing that they seem to get right is Maps. Everything else is half assed once you get into using it.

 

yeah they drop the ball on so much shit and just drop support of products out of no where. I was an android fan for a decade and finally got sick of their bs, finally got an iphone 12 pro max and i'm never going back. Say what you will about apple as a company, but almost every product they make is quality.

Had the pixel 3 now the 4 (for a couple years now), love them. I'm petty sure I could learn to speak Mandarin or operate a space shuttle easier than sending a text on an I phone (my wife and family all have them, I can then I(sis) phones). Pixel is best phone I've ever owned and the camera is insane.

Follow up on this...

I went to Walmart yesterday to stock up on a few items for some upcoming trips. Used the self-checkout right in front of the receipt checker twit and he watches me the whole time. I go to leave and I hold out my receipt, he takes it from me, and I don't even stop for him and keep walking. I didn't say a word, wait for my receipt or look back, but the dude must've been so confused. As far as I'm concerned that dude had a weird obsession with receipts and wanted to add mine to his collection.

 

I don't doubt that - I do not have anything against the receipt checkers as people. But as a consumer, I don't support the role they fill.

 

I don't get angry at the checkers, but I get FURIOUS at the low life scum who make stores do stuff like this. Self checkout and the app I use at Sams gives me the convenience of avoiding longer checkout lines. But if they didn't check for low life's they would be robbed blind. The thieving little %$^#&*'s are the same reason they have packaging that will slice your hand if you open it wrong. I HATE THIEVES!
