I've heard of that being done before, the mirrors that I purchased have the bsm light in the mirrors. The problem is that the plug on the mirror side, does not have the proper configuration for the bsm to work. But just like others have figured out with the light relocation, I think (someday when I have time) I could just test the pins and find out where the wires need to be. If I can change were the pins in the plug go, I think I can get it to work. The plugs are the same, were the pins are located are just different. I'm also thinking that they just had mirriors built for the most common configurations, perhaps someday they will make a set that work for all the platinum options.... or maybe TOYOTA can hook us up!

    Thanks for the info!

Plasti dipped the chrome Toyota emblems on the wheels. Easy to pop off for paint.

That's odd. I remember hearing that A1 mirrors had BSM, power fold, signal, heat and memory for the platinums. So your saying no BSM that's plug and play?

Nice!... you're a machine with all these mods! Kinda jealous... my wife saw my "wish list" of mods today...and wasn't as impressed as I'd hoped!

I have had a lot of these paid for and planed for my last truck. Some things were on back order and are just arriving lately. My wife is ready for me to be done. The colour matched door handles and mirror caps will have to wait. Also got to get some torches to reinstall the dual exhaust.

That's what they told me on the phone. But I also have read that they worked. Who knows, be nice if Toyota could just make this easy on us and have some OEM tow mirrors available with all the options.

No mods today but decided to give her a bath, even though it may rain tomorrow and everyday this week for that mater. I was never one to wash unless there was a stretch of good weather yet washed it anyway knowing that it is futile and I'm likely the only one who will see it clean. Pride of ownership or foolishness? Can't decide...

I did however check a local Ziebart shop to get a price on wrapping bumper, they have a white that is very close but if it's anywhere near the price of the bumper ends through Roman I'm gonna hit him up this week (waitin on call back for price). Anyone check this route yet and get pricing or have it done? I am thinking white on the bumper ends as well as the center portion of the bumper.

Did an engine bay cleaning today along with cleaning the k&n air filter. Both were pretty filthy after tundrastosedona. Edit: Gunk foamy and shine work amazingly well btw

That color looks ridulously good in that garage light. Don't ever change your bulbs in that garage!

Too late, I'm already planning on putting in some fluorescents because the two dinky fixtures in there now don't provide nearly enough light..

I have BSM and still want to do this because the indicator is too far outboard for my liking, too dim in certain conditions and doesn't allow good placement of bubble mirrors. IDK why mfg's don't put it in the lower inside corner

Anyway...does anyone know what type of light is needed and what wire to tap? I've wanted to do this mod so badly for so long. Help a brutha out!

    Thanks!
I am making 10 more next week, few friends want them, also made a few tweaks. I will have 5 unspoken for, so if you want one let me know. Turned out very nice, super strong, no drill or touching any seat mount bolts, fits perfect, rubber coated mount points, and most important, it is where it should be mounted in the cab.
