Right now I'm at the end of Dove mountain, still raining and getting humid.

Hopefully it'll roll into town later. I'll take all I can get, my water bill was 1/2 the usual because I didn't have to water anything last month.

We have Dish/Hughes for tv and internet. It’s not the fastest, but it works.

Once every other week I work a couple days in Scottsdale, and when I come back up, I stock up on groceries at the Safeway in Chino Valley. And when coming through Prescott, I can hit Costco or Walmart if I need to. About once a month I need to make a run to Kingman to Home Depot. An hour to get there, and hour there, and another hour to get back.

We have Dish now but Cox Gigabit is almost enough for both of us to do the unending teams meetings/interactions we both do all day for work. I would need the perfect situation to drive over 60 miles for the basics.

Anyone have a suggestion for sandblasting around Chandler? My tow hooks have taken a few hits, so when I went to touch them up found a lot of the paint was flaking off. New plan is to get them blasted and powder coated, if the pricing makes sense.

I'd be interested in this too. Sprayed my 4runner ones but it only lasts a few months.

This was the third time I was going to paint them in a year and half or so. They look great for a few months, then road debris, off road obstacles, idiot DIYers with wrenches, etc hit them and screw them up… :anonymous:

There's a place down here called elegant iron, suppose to be the best place to get powder coating done this side of the grande casa.

My buddy suggested Southwest Sandblasting here in Chandler, but if you try to load their website from Google, you get a dick pill page… but if you go direct their site loads fine, lol. http://www.swsandblasting.com/

Maybe I can do some horse trading, I’ll fix their site for some sandblasting and powder coating

PC will chip away as well. My sliders are pocked from rocks thrown from the tires.
Affordable powder coat is who I used in P town, but they are by the fairgrounds.
@TucsonTundra1794 elegant is a great place, a stones throw from my work. There is also North American PC on grant, they do exhaust coating as well, elegant does not.

I’m fine with some chipping over time, but the enamel I used is just not durable at all. At the very least, I’d like to get them to bare metal so I can properly prime and paint them. Then I can maintain as needed.

It is inconvenient, but that’s okay with us. I know of at least two places on the market less than a year after being bought, because there’s not a Walmart close enough. It’s not for everybody.

Re internet in AZ, there's an apparently little known provider Triad Wireless available in many places. I have it down here 1.5hrs southish of Tuscon. Makes it possible to work from home in the "middle of nowhere".

Are you asking if it's available in Tubac, or if I'm in Tubac?

I'm between Patagonia and Nogales near the lake. I don't know where Triad is available; you'd have to call them to see if they are available where you are.

Thanks, I don't mind remote but 60 miles plus round trip would be excessive for us right now.

    Someday though it's a possibility.

Welcome to the rest of the USA. Now go buy some firearms and throw your middle finger to the shitty state that is called California.

    **Disclaimer**
Born and raised in California, finally realized there is more to the USA than just sunny California and the high taxes there.
