I made 5 pcs metal fuel door hinge pin for tundra loose gas cap lol

    Looks like the part is the hinge pivot for the fuel door.
    Perhaps the OP had an issue with it not closing all the way.
    I'd guess the metal hinge pin is more rigid and stronger than the OEM plastic pin.

    Ahh, got it. I understood from the title that he used 5 pins :confused: … lol, now I understand he used 5 parts to replace one…. I love over-engineering!!

    I looked into the thoise the last time gas started going up.
    it was a 4 month wait to get it shipped..
    Although I'd have it by now if I'd a ordered it..:eek2:

    I actually would have had to wait too but got lucky and bought an open pkg that was returned in new condition and offered at a discounted cost as well.

    Ahh, that would explain the ejection pin marks. More inline with your 1000pcs run. Are they being made overseas?
