I can't imagine how cool Honduras was, I was a 97E/35M, so I'm familiar with the mission. Always wanted to go, got Diego Garcia instead, that wasn't so bad.

 

Great MOS - I was a 46R so I had it pretty good (except at Fort Hood). I believe I hung out with a bunch of you guys in Macedonia on another TDY. Honduras was crazy - each company had its own bar.

 

Thank god I never took orders there, my liver hardly made it out alive as is.

I don't know if my MOS is as cool as yours. I worked with you guys many times, pretty dope way to spend your enlistment. You know a guy, last name Tapin? He was from Michigan too, came over to your MOS back in 2010 or so. He actually took the picture I have as my profile pic. That was the 2008 cup run in Dallas, game was amazing.

 

This all sucks. Have wanted and needed a truck for so long, finally bought my Tundra last year and am half afraid to take it anywhere for fear of cat theft. I haul my 4 wheeler about twice a month to go riding and can't help but wonder if someone is stealing them the whole time I'm riding. Love hunting and fishing, but again, don't want the truck sitting in the middle of nowhere. This is a great deterrent, but still stinks we have to do this.

Yeah, I completely lucked out. I did a morning show and a weekly newscast in Germany. Had some really cool TDY's to Macedonia and Istanbul. I got out in 2000 so didn't meet Tapin.

Funny about your jerseys - my stepdaughter took me to a Wings vs. Stars game in Dallas in 2012 or so. Had a blast. My wife found me an old Shanahan jersey and I was wondering if I'd stick out being a Wings fan in Dallas. I think there were more Wings jerseys in there than Stars. She was working at AT&T corporate at the time and as we were leaving, we ran into one of her co-workers and her parents. Her dad was high up at AT&T. Her mom looked at my jersey and said "Oh we love Shanahan! He was the nicest neighbor when we lived in Detroit."

If I order front and rear skids at 3/16 bare, when when do you think they might get sent out? I'm putting the order in regardless, just wanted to see how long it might be.

 

Man, I'd love to talk to Shanny in the backyard after a couple beers, the locker room stories he has must be incredible... unless your name is Craig Janny.

 

No kidding! I'd love to meet both him and Yzerman some day. Kicking myself for never making it to the Joe. My neighbors did right before they closed it and brought me a commemorative hockey puck, so at least I have that.

 

As long as plasma cut stays on schedule, maybe 4 weeks

Per Tyler it should bolt up OK but will likely need a spacer on the rear plate bracket. Let us know how it goes. GL

I think it is getting cut this week, I forgot what day I did my cut off for the big order. Worst case it should be getting cut in 2 weeks

Man, we keep getting hit here. Had another few Tundras cut in their driveways last night. Not good. Get your plates installed ASAP folks!

 

Just an FYI, Barnes 4x4 shipped out my cone washers the next day after I ordered and the quality is really good. I know their just washers, but they are machined extremely well. Now I'm ready when the plates arrive.

 

I have a trip to DFW coming up and hoping I'll have plates before the trip.

 

Garage is my only theft deterrent for now, glad I didn’t lift it

 

anyone ordering the barnes 4x4 washers with the screwd security bolts, did you just order 2 of the 3/8" to 7/16" Bolt Head Protector ? anything else you need to order with it?
