Well, my appt to get my SPC UCA's installed and an alignment at State 48 Overland is tomorrow morning. My expectations for both the product and the installer are high given the rep of each. The SPC's are definitely beefy and I hope to get some years of trouble-free use and superior ride and handling characteristics out of them over the stock set-up.

Haha! I thought they cleaned Van Buren up? You tell me, I don't go over that way much. I actually don't have the day off, so after I drop it off I'll grab some ZZZ's then pick it up later today before heading back out to work tonight.

I've actually lost track of how many days I've worked. I think 61 of the last 65 calendar days, idk.

You can update it for sure…. By putting in a new one. Head units are pretty cheap and once you have a double din with touchscreen you’ll be stoked you did.

    or……………..

    GoPro with a helmet mount.
    also pretty cool

you deserve one or the other, right?

Absolutely! But, this HU is in Bessie, my work van. Well, I was gonna say I don't wanna spend a lot of money, but they are pretty cheap. Hell, I still have the stock radio in my truck.

Go to the Kenwood website and there should be a link to receiver updates. Likely you’ll just put it on a flash drive, plug it into the usb and then it will auto update the head unit.

Someone said something on one of these threads about ky closing up shop around 10pm?

Round these parts they close up shop at 8pm or earlier. Turd shifters gotta get all their town running done before sundown. Lest you get caught out after "curfew"

Shittily installed TikTard lights in my room that were free. Neat, but glad I didn't spend money on it.

    Well..
I managed over a year and a half working as a nurse with Covid +patients and not getting it.
Left that profession before they mandated the vaccine in the state of Maine for all healthcare providers to go work for UPS. 3 weeks in and I am Covid + LOL. Was down for 12 hours and was up mowing the lawn and splitting and stacking wood today.
the common cold was more brutal than Covid was for me.
Will be enjoying a 10 day quarantine with my family

Yep. I had the same Excelon unit in my previous truck (sadly, single-DIN dash opening).

Involved loading a file on a USB stick. They have a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwzIzUNFt8Q

Partial weekend fail. A buddy came out to show off his new-to-him yamaha vstar 1100. Very pretty bike. We didnt get to ride the three sisters, but i got to show off my walking trail, and run the rc crawlers. Dude has 2 kids and a wife, so it didnt seem right to put him to work, so i didnt get to move the big rock ive been saving for some help. But i was able to potentially save his life, i found 3 loose bolts and 1 completely missing during my inspection of the vstar. The turdra impressed him. His dad had one when we were in highschool, so it might’ve triggered some memories.

Bought some tickets to an escape room here in town for next weekend. Me and the gf always go for our b-days (hers is the 10th, mine the 17th). If yall haven't tried them yet they're pretty fun.

Still haven't managed to escape the wife tho, eh? (j/k)

Hope you realize what a lucky fella you are. The lady we hired to tend to our kids during lockdown lost her brother last night. My best friend's mom's in ICU for 8 weeks now getting ECMO constantly, even if she beats her 50/50 odds and makes it out alive, she has to stay with one of the kids for the rest of her life getting at-home car. I lost an aunt and uncle in 2020. I've lost 0 friends and relatives to the flu my entire life. Had some oddballs, like one dying of spinal meningitis, but ... Count your blessings, bro.

And just so you know I'm not blowing smoke up your butt, straight from the horse's mouth. Note: We're almost all in our 40s and 50s, aunt and uncle late 60s, and my best friend's mom in her mid-60s. No spring chickens for sure, but not exactly "over the hill" with high risk factors, either.

As a follow-up to this post; Had I realized we were <15 minutes from Lexington, I'd have just waited another few minutes and gotten what I wanted.

RRG was beautiful. I'll log in from my phone and upload some pics of our weekend in a few minutes. (easier to upload than from my work computer)

I like those tires, any clue what they are, size? Just curious. I wouldn't mind staying stock, but eventually need to get new ones.

My wife just shook her head when I had to turn around to go check it out. I smiled, she says we're not buying that right? Right? Babe?

I smiled again and said, depends on the price. :D
