Ya, if anything they'll put it back together and I come get it, but it'll still make a slight rattling sound.
Then they'll call me when they have a ETA for the new SC.
FST said this never happens on the 5.7's. Just my luck :(

Toyota removed the blue masking tape they use when working on front ends. Said some of the paint peeled off. Wtf??

Regardless, they believe the nose cone they ordered is defective and are ordering another one. In addition, they of course are going to take care of the paint that came off during the tape removal.

Tundra is still 100% safe to drive, just that damn rattle noise

Any pictures of the paint removed. Must be some pretty strong tape to pull of factory paint.

I have to tell you, Toyota (at least at this dealer) has been fantastic to work with! They constantly communicate any updates to me, and are making it right. Their lead SC tech is all over it.

As of this evening, if the nose cone and new coupler isn't the issue, they are providing a brand new SC (according to Toyota, will cost them $20k)

Ouch, that's a lot of missing paint.
    Good luck with the repairs.

I dipped my bumper corners till I can get colour matched. The white is pretty close. A couple of coats of glosifier might make the difference but you can't really tell unless you are close and the lighting is good.

Sean I would be honored and mortified if you did that.

And Jose, I think I need to be called victor from now on. Punkin will be getting a name change as well ;)

So, just waiting on a hose to get there (Tuesday) and the truck should be good to go. There is a hose that gets cuts during the SC install and that of course had to be replaced.

They got the part back from their body shop that needed to be repainted while working on the SC.

I miss her so much. :(
Can't wait to get her back in my hands :D

Hey Sean.. was just wondering when you switched to your hid bulb.. It changed the light bar color as well?. To make them both that color ? Or you did you have to add something that I'm missing?. Just love the color of both the hid light and light bar... Sorry..Kinda new at this... Thanks

Basically relocates the intake for the AIP
from the fender area to the engine area making it less likely your AIP will see moisture and other debris.
