And after seeing how much dirt is under that carpet (even with a nearly ludicrous cleaning regimen) I don’t ever want carpet again

In the process of ripping mine out in my living room. I am keeping carpet in bedrooms. I have wood floors under the carpet. Can't wait to see how it looks under the carpet. What wood is exposed in walkways and hallway need refinished. Guy is coming Tuesday to look at them as I don't know what I am doing. I'll do the sanding, he'll do the coatings it needs.

I saw that sale going on a DD, but I'm a little leery of buying a new muffler until I get some seat time with the factory one. Although I will say I haven't kept a stock muffler on my DD for a very long time. Which size did you go with?

Waiting on a ordered '21 truck?

12", it should give me what I'm looking for.

Yes sir, supposed to be delivered around the end of the month. It's on a rail car now. The 12" is the mildest correct, looking forward to hearing what you think.

    Sweet!
Yeah, although I think he can make a custom 14" that's closer to stock.
Hopefully I'll have it on this week.

I didn't do airbags on my Tundra as I didn't like the unladen ride on my F150. I've got 800lb bars for my WDH and still get about 2" of negative rake when I'm loaded up. I think the TRD Pro suspension just isn't built for hauling at max capacity, but so far it is holding up. I wouldn't be disappointed if I had to replace it all in a few years...LOL

My guess is they're measuring your level of desperation. Go in to yank your deposit and see how much they start talking. Mark-up on trailers is nuts, something like 30-40%, so although it is a seller's market they still have to make an inventory payment at the end of the month. Plus the season is coming to a close.

Honestly, unless you're really stoked about the model you have on order, I'd be inclined to yank my deposit and take another swing next spring. I'd be worried about the build quality of any RV these days.

Hardwoods are all the rage right now and I've never understood it...well, until we got a dog. I still don't like non-carpeted floors as I'm a barefoot-in-the-house guy and it is just uncomfortable and cold. But hardwoods/stone are much easier to clean up after the dog!

Ya we have been talking about pulling the deposit for a few weeks now since camping season is coming to an end. And we aren’t exactly dead set on that model but we do love the smaller size and weight. If we were to jump up to the price of the 243BHXL they have on the lot we would probably opt for something that is a similar size to the one we have money down on but a little more premium materials/options.

Big box will measure with seams right down the middle of room. So just watch that and don’t buy Nike pad.

I am going to try the Costco route. Didn’t even think about that before and they are carrying Shaw which happens to be what we looked at last weekend. Also, they come to me which is a help for schedules being what they are right now.

I would love to get rid of carpet all together but wife wants it in the bedrooms. Need to replace the laminate downstairs too but that will be later after carpet and fireplace reno.

    Fresh smoke….that’s funny.

The air has cleared out here and the temps have cooled off, but now we have 80% humidity. Cold and sweaty is a strange feeling.

Yep thank god it is cooling off this week over here also. Mid 80’s I believe. It was over 100 on fri,sat and sun. But a new fire started up in chelan so we should have some new smoke rolling in.

Ya I’m not sure how bad it is. We just got the emergency alert for level 1 evacuation for the shady pass and 25 mile creek areas last night.

They found the guy down here in Cali who set all the fires. He was an adjunct professor at one of the schools. Tracked him with GPS data/when fires started and his locations. I am guessing he is part of a fringe movement that has a lot of power in the Portland/Seattle areas currently. Wouldn't surprise me anyway, especially knowing the demographics of the areas the fires were set.

We had people doing the same thing up here last year. People were being filmed lighting fires in broad daylight. The last time that I looked, most of the fires in Oregon still had an "unknown" cause as to why they were started.

The firebugs were responsible for a lot of the west coast fires last year. It is unfortunate…
