Hey guys, I’m installing a set of Rockford fosgate t-1675 s in the front of my 15 sr5 non JBL, I have a pioneer WT7600NEX headunit, and I put in a 5 channel amp. I’m putting the new tweeters in the sail panel and my question is, do i just run the wire for the woofer to the crossover and then the woofer and tweeter wires from there and then just unclip the tweeters in the dash?
Or am I better off running the dash tweeter wires, that come from the HU, into my crossover and then wire it normally. The Rockford crossover has a separate tweeter input and i haven’t seen any write ups online with a crossover like that, normally it’s just a woofer input

From the Amp, speaker wire to crossover for components. Then you separate the channels at the crossover. One cable pair goes to the mid range. One goes to the tweeter. You don’t need to fool with anything on the dash. I suggest you just disconnect the dash speakers all together as they will only introduce distortion to the front sound stage since they will distort far sooner than your amped component speakers.

Aight, that makes sense, i just wasn’t sure if it would’ve been different since the crossover has a tweeter input
    Thanks, i appreciate it

The terminals marked “tweeter” on the crossover are an output for speaker wire to the tweeter. Your speaker wire from the amp will connect to the “input” on the crossover. This is a full range signal at this point. That’s what the crossover is for, to separate the full range input into the frequencies for each separate speaker.

No, I’m saying my crossover has input sub and tweeter and output sub and tweeter

Your crossover has the option of the components being wired bi-amped, meaning the woofers and subs run on different channels.
You could use your 5 channel amp to run the front doors on the 4 channels.

My Focals have the same option, it just uses a jumper to run them with 2 channels.

I tried it with my Focals and it really didn't sound much different that running them on 2 channels and using the other 2 channels for the rears..

Oooooh i missed that part about using tweeter in with single amp and not woofer in. That kinda is making sense now. Thanks
