Just got the updated VIN number from the dealership. Scheduled delivery is 8/23 to 8/30 getting close now!

 

Currently waiting for one! Dealer just gave me the option to switch from an MGM to LR! Jumped on it, just have to wait a bit. Build date is 9/12!

Put the deposit on the MGM down way back in June, the waiting is killing me!

 

Welcome, definitely a good move to jump from MGM to LR.

 

yup, agreed. I mentioned this on another thread, but I'm so paranoid that they are going to cut production and cancel this late in the year, but dealer is pretty confident! Probably won't get it will October at this point.

 

That's definitely a nail biter with the new 2022 production soon to kickoff.

 

yeah, though I have talked to 5 other dealers up here that were all allocated LR in the past week or so, so it seems like they are doing another run of them.

 

Definitely are - here in MA I worked a few dealers who had allocations coming this fall (one had 2 LRs being built - but wanted a 10K markup). Still waiting on the official VIN, but have been assured its in production, coming out of the factory on the 19th and delivery the last week in August...so close yet so far away!

 

It's definitely nail biting- I was planning to sell mine to a dealer in CA and buy a new one in Oregon and pocket the difference. The new one was scheduled to be built mid Sept. and delivery mid Oct. but with my luck I didn't want to be out of a truck.

The MGM is a nice color, as is white, it's just I like the lunar rock because if you're going to get a pro you might as well get it in the unique color.

 

Totally I own an MGM Tacoma right and love it, but the LR is great and I haven’t seen any around here.

well so far I'm at -37 days so I might have beat you.

 

Chip shortage is real and things can change, i held off any accessories purchase until the truck was on my driveway

 

Don't forget to exercise your truck, 20 miles of washboard at 40-50mph should do the trick. Still so impressed with how well this truck handles rough roads and getting nearly 20mpg. I just rolled over 17k, hopefully I've got another 283k to go.

I'll be honest, I'm hard on my vehicles. I've always been hospice for cars, they all die under my watch. I'd never buy my used vehicle

 

Well, I’m not easy on them either and my last Tundra was still going strong at 297k
