SIL had one checkered and 6 seconds until last night. One other guy had 6 wins and one third. SIL pulled it out when it counted. Last night stock 4s were the feature, 25 laps and $1000 purse.

I have an appointment set to get the Falcon Shocks and Coachbuilder shackles installed this week.

Just submitted a reservation on AirBnB so a couple friends and I have a place to rest on our way down to do the Imogene Pass trail. We haven't decided if it'll be in his 4 door Wrangler or my Tundra, but I bet his wife opts for the much larger back seat of the Tundra.

Is it bad that I get anxious that things are working out? I wind up waiting for the other shoe to drop.

 

I detailed the truck yesterday so vacuuming again wasn't on the agenda today. Was out running errands this morning and the wife's IG feed announced a food truck she's been wanting to try was just opening about 4 miles away. And they have Beignets...I'd walk across lava for a doughnut, so hell yeah I'm in.

And hell yeah, I'm eating one while it's hot....covered in powdered sugar...

Here's the best part. My shorts and shirt are covered in powdered sugar (worse than it looks in the pic). On the drive home, a few young ducks decide to land on the road and stop traffic. So I get out and chase them off the road. I must have looked like a coked-up freak chasing imaginary animals to anyone behind me.

Got all of it cleaned up, but there's a nice white line of sugar down on the carpet between the center console and seat that I cannot reach. Looks like I was doing a rail of coke off my knee while driving and sneezed.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to vacuum my truck while my wife and daughter are out of town this week.

 

Just set the alarm for tomorrow. This is always the worst part of the week.

I've only gotta survive two more shifts, and then I get to go get everything prepped for the suspension swap on Thursday. Gonna try to make it as easy on the shop doing the work as I can. Dropping my spare tire, cleaning it all up, and making sure I have all my parts organized. I'm going to ask if I can speak to the installer to see if I can convince him to snap some pics of the process for me.

 

Mondays suck.

For some reason I started the day watching videos of the chaos coming out of the Kabul airport. Crazy chit….and I won’t say anything more.

 

I've kind of given up on worrying about the world. It keeps spinning and doing whatever batshit stuff it wants either way. I'll just try to be as good as I can and improve what I can at my level. It's the best I can do for the world.

 

And a better world starts with new shocks!

 

Today is my Friday, and I am READY!

My week is done.

Tomorrow I prep my truck for the shop visit with a wash, clean out the interior, drop the spare at the storage unit, get the shocks and shackles loaded in the back seat, etc. Thursday the Falcons go on.

 

Nope. Keep family doctors out of your medical affairs. Good to have in an emergency, but otherwise Nope!
