I bought this truck a couple of years ago and it came with a pretty nice pioneer head unit, only to find out its bricked. When I went replace the unit I came across a one of the worst wiring job without the factory harness clips. After spending hours and trying out multiple of head units I had laying around I had no luck, so I simply just gave up and drove in silence. Fast forwards a year or so (present day) still no radio. If anyone has any suggestions or can help me in any sort of way it'll be greatly appreciated.

Can you post more pictures of wiring? A lot of those colors look like normal aftermarket radio wire colors. Or are those the ones you put in trying to repair? Do you have a picture of the wires as they were hooked up to the radio that was in it when you bought it?
Not sure why someone would have done all this to save about $10.
I've put a few radios in the early 1st gens but I'm not very good with the later ones but do those wires lead into any sort of an amp down in the dash? Close to the HVAC controls. If it does you can remove that amp and connect to main wires that connect to the bottom side of amp.
