That's moderately better, but still, if it's on you then you know exactly where it is. No worry of the kids getting to it.

    Heck

I just disconnected our doorbell. Ring it all you want,it makes no noise.

I also have a metal park bench on the front stoop with a sign that says “Packages Go Here”

ON the front door there is a “NO SOLICITING” sign that can be seen and read from the road

The first movie makes me cringe. I haven't even tried to watch the second one.
First I'm hearing of this... I'm currently reading the one he did with his brother, The Sentinel.

I only discovered them because Apple Books / Kindle recommended them to me based on the Jack Reacher books I’ve read. There’s dozens of them. They’re entertaining enough if you like the character, and are quick reads for the most part. You can get sets with several of them for around ten bucks.

He hasn’t directly appeared in any of them yet. At most he’s been kind of orbiting around the stories (especially in The Hunt for Jack Reacher).

Jack Reacher’s Special Investigators (Dan Ames) : Stories featuring his team members.

Jack Reacher Cases (Dan Ames): A spin off about one of the characters from a previous Reacher book.

The Hunt For Jack Reacher (Diane Capri): Stories about an FBI agent who’s looking for him for a so far unknown reason. Each story has her investigating the events and people from a different Jack Reacher novel.

It starts going a little Sci FI after that:

The Reacher Experiment (Jude Hardin): This is the one I’m currently reading. It takes place in 2098, and the main character learns he is a clone of Jack Reacher. The government is trying to kill him to keep it a secret.

The Reacher Code (Jude Hardin): Haven’t gotten to this one yet. It looks to be a Terminator type story where the clone goes back in time to protect him.

The last two took it in a weird direction, but I’m wondering if they may explain why Reacher always stumbles into these situations. I honestly wondered if there was somebody directing him somehow.

Get chickens. They'll turn your ants into edible butt nuggets.

Sweet! I'll have to look for some of those next time I'm at the library. I love sci-fi, too.

His books are good, too, though one of his characters is just a poor man's Jack Reacher to me.

You must be talking about John Puller. Even his name is reminiscent of Jack Reacher. I'm in the midst of that series at the moment.

When a journeyman plumber tells you back pitch is acceptable on a condensate drain, or any drain for that matter

In layman’s terms Negative BACKPITCH basically means that water has to backup and climb uphill

Drains are for DRAINAGE they need to drain, not back up!

His argument was that if it has enough head pressure it’s ok. It’s on a condensate line that sees water only a few times a year, but when it does it’s a lot…… so lots of buildup in the pipe. I’m hvac and therefore it’s mine to deal with.
