Only black coffee I liked was some stuff that a buddy would bring back from his church's missionary trips Nicaragua. It was so smooth and had no bitterness when compared to store bought stuff. Can't speak for tea, as I've never been a fan. Same for any beer, but does any sour stuff count? I like some sour candies, and I like Limes. OOOOO! Especially a nice squeeze of lime juice in a taco.

 

Spicy stuff promotes digestive health and prostate health as well.

 

I do too. And some clove.

Now, the real question is - if you used cubed meat instead of ground, is it still chili?

 

If it's got flavor with it, I'm in. I like curries, hot wings (not buffalo flavor), jalapeno burgers, pepper jack cheese, and BBQ with a bit of a bite can be good too.

 

Team Introvert here! Adding cinnamon sounds awesome. I’ve also heard of people adding peanut butter to their chili. Our chili usually has red kidney beans in it, roasted tomato’s, tomato paste, onion, ground beef and sometimes venison. I slap on the jalapeños and additional Pete’s hot sauce. Congrats to 50 bucks!

But I can't do chili until fall, when the temperature starts to dip close to freezing at night.
Right now, it's gonna be 100 again today...

 

My chilli has NO beans, but does contain venison and alcohol.

 

I use both.

 

I always pour half a bottle of either porter or stout (Black Butte is my go to) into my chili.
And a couple oz of tequila.

The rest goes in my belly while it cooks.

 

This sounds like a band name.

 

So long as there is meat and chilies or chili powder, I think it would qualify. Wouldn't it? Beans and tomatoes seem to be optional, along with a slew of other ingredients or spices, so I don't see why there wouldn't be some flexibility in the meat.
