Tnx Bear. The 1st secret is the color. MGM is the best looking color, dont let anyone tell u otherwise lol. In all seriousness though I have an artic coating on mine. It definitely helps with keeping the truck clean.

Love the combination. The RAS really helped with load handling, sway, and overall ride. Makes the rear end feel planted and actually improved the ride. The Timbrens I got to really protect the RAS from hitting the frame on big dips and such. Also running the TRD rear sway bar, Coachbuilder +1 shackles, and King rear shocks

I'm not expert detailer, but have you tried a Magic Eraser or a clay bar yet?

Good call—not yet, I’ll have to pick up a new clay bar…should have a magic eraser around the house.

Magic Erasers always scare me when they touch paint. Remember to be careful as they are abrasive. I would try a clay bar then a fine polishing compound, like M205. Always start with the least aggressive treatment, then work up from there.

Boring truck, nothing happens to it... Thousand miles over thousand miles. Gas every 400 miles, oil every 5000.

Cool. Thanks. My only concern is losing off road performance as I go quite often.

Set up a sprinkler to spray water on it non-stop for a couple of hours. Get a dryer sheet (i.e. Bounce) and rub the left over bug guts. The combination of the hypermoisturization and the dryer sheet ought to get it out.

yeah, i had to go with 0 offset. I wanted +20, but i couldn't find a vendor that was motivated to order them for me. i think it will end up looking really great, it just meant that I had to do a CMC and worry about whether the tires will actually fit the truck. i'm still a little worried about it

There’s a video on YouTube where a guy installed the RAS on an overlanding Tundra and kinda talks about how it affects articulation, just overall keeps the leaf springs from overextending

I agree with what TBoe said. I have the MX4 and really like it. I get a little bit of water at the tailgate and the front of the bed in really heavy rain, but I also don’t have the drain tubes in. It’s not nearly enough water to cause any concern. If you can find a preferred dealer near you, you get a 10 year warranty instead of the regular 5.

It will definitely look good! Plenty of people run +0 with aggressive tires, but yea, chopping is necessary. In for pics! I always wanted a black vehicle with bronze wheels.

I think you’ll be happy with any of the top 3 covers…I run the ArmorFlex by Undercover and like the top coating on it for being more scratch resistant; my buddy runs the F1, and it’s really nice too. I like that I can open and close my tailgate without needing to lift the last panel 1st, his F1 required him to lift the last panel, close the tailgate, then drop the panel…not a big deal, but small feature I like on mine more (his F1 is a couple years old now, so they may have changed this in newer ones?) I’d say whatever you can get the best pricing on, they all seem to fit really well. Haven’t seen many major complaints with any of the 3 (MX4, F1, or ArmorFlex)

IMO I would choose a different tire. The BFG's are crap, they are stone magnets, and often don't balance well.

I’ve had Falkens on my 4Runner for a long time and now on my Tundra. I was thinking of getting KO2s for the Tundra, then read about all the balancing issues. Additionally, KO2s were the only tire Discount Tire recommended not getting in the size needed for our trucks. They said BF just can’t get them right in that size.

Westcott Designs had told me the same with BFG KO2s on Tundras as well when they installed my lift…said they do fine on 4Runners/Tacoma/FJs, but don’t run well on Tundras…balancing and wear issues…couldn’t say why specifically. Told me to stick with the Nittos I had or had been having good feedback with Toyo as well on our trucks

I had KO2 stock on my tundra and I bought it at ran for 54k miles with no issues rotated every 5k miles. I bought 325/60R20 (35.5/12.8R20) and ran them for 21k miles before trading them in with same exact results. Even had a screw get in one, got it fixed and still worked perfect. Brother ran 2 sets on his sequoia, dad on his tundra. Sister on her 4runner....no one had problems. I don't fully understand why SO MANY people have issues with them and/or hate them.

Not sure…they’re actually the tires I asked about putting on when I was going to increase to 35s…I liked the way they felt/handled/looked on my friend’s Raptor, even recommended them for my sister’s FJ. Thought they’d be a little softer with load rating on street. I was advised to go a different direction on the Tundra when I had the suspension done.

I had no real reason to switch from my current 33” Ridge Grapplers; figured if the recommendation was to run same brand or sister company (Toyo) in 35s, then I’d stick with Nitto Ridge Grapplers given I liked how the 33s performed and held up. They didn’t say BFG KO2 weren’t good tires, just not a great match on the Tundra, specifically.
