Haha its been getting little love here and there, Only came off the road because I got the Tundra so I could put love into it. 4 years later.....

Committed to having it back out on the road this winter. All it needs is the rear cage and such painted and then plumb new fuel.cell, everything is sitting in the garage. Even Monstalined the Fuel Safe Cell when i did the Tundra for good measure.

You already burned $300 of money I don't have on an alternator yesterday.

I assume that's worth doing with the water pump and serp belt + tensioner since it won't be significant extra work if I do the big 3 ahead of time and maybe the de-pin and re-pin on site.

Not sure what the lifetime of an alternator is but I'm guessing it got some good use over 160k miles and 20 years? Especially with the reported parasitic draw and 4 nuked batteries in the past few years.

Started tacking together pieces for the compressor mount. It’s pretty tight pulling out but should fit fine

My driver's side belt has been driving me nuts lately. Has a lot of click-click-click in it with minor body movements, like you can hear the bearings in the mechanism - at least until you pivot the arm to a 4 o'clock position instead of the 5 o'clock position it stays in.

Have you or anyone else noticed the same? I feel like if I could just figure out wtf was making the noise, I could re-lube to stop it from happening. but I also dread tampering with safety equipment!

How did you go about pressure washing the seatbelt? Did you remove it or just hang it out of the door as much as you could and close it in the door? Hoping to clean mine up and spray it with silicone lubricant as per PHM.

Experienced a gremlin the other day.

I washed the truck, rinsed off the cold engine the night before last, filled the tank, and even cleaned my aem filter. When I went to fire it up the following morning, it would start and then immediately die. I tried this a couple times with my reader hooked up but it wouldn't throw any codes. I could keep it running with the pedal but it was breaking up and very pissed.

I unhooked the battery and let it bake in the sun for the day. When I got back to it, it started rough and did the same thing once again. I held the engine at about 2k rpm and the breaking up and stumbling cleared up after about 20 seconds. It's been running great after that.

I put half a can of seafoam into the brake booster vacuum line and a can and a half into my full gas tank.

I have no idea what the issue was so I wanted to share it here for an additional thought/opinion. I'm assuming it was because of water that I sprayed into the engine bay, but the lack of codes that were thrown make me unsure. Is it possible the issue was on the fuel delivery side and unrelated to the water?

I knew one of you would like that!
But seriously I couldn’t get it out!
I’ll have to radius the tab by harness and after that it should clear easier.

He did say he would take $500, but that was still too high as I would have to paint it black and get the lower metal piece that pre-facelifts have

He sent me a picture of his old truck once but I seem to have lost it. It was a white, pre-facelift tundra. It had a coastal offroad front bumper if I remember correctly.

I need someone to remake the T3 tundra grill :D.

I wonder how easy that would be to do tho? I know the ivan stewart grille part pops out, so maybe scanning the shell and 3d printing wouldnt be too hard.

Oh ok. Its weird that just the pipe is not legal in california, but the whole cold air is? I guess its just a matter of if they get them carb certified or not.

Ya, I mean the smog shack I go to doesn't even open my hood. With how stock that pipe looks, I am sure I could get away with it.

    Ever look at these? https://hpsperformanceproducts.com/...tundra-4-7l-v8-827-523?variant=32478052614241

Or are you trying to keep the stock airbox?

Also, are the maf positions different from 00-04 to 05-06?

    2002 AC TRD 4x4 V8
My truck did something similar last year after I put a few ounces of Seafoam in the crankcase. I was assured that couldn't be the cause. The difference is that my truck wouldn't turn over. It would sputter and struggle but not start. Took me about 3-4 minutes before it finally rolled over. It's never done anything like that before or after.
