    Catalytic Converter Theft Deterrent

So I have a 2006 2WD Sequoia. One of our friends has a 2004 Tundra and his cat-converter was stolen from his truck a few nights ago. Started thinking about finding a way to protect mine. Does anyone know where I could get something that will protect both converters on my truck? I've looked around without much luck other than custom welding iron plates or bars to the undercarriage. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

I’m not sure the 1stgenoffroad is a good option. The site says 2001-2021 but shows only one plate size in pics. There’s no drop down to choose years. And I can’t find reviews or install pics, other than the few on the site. I’d be worried, sending these guys money even for a later gen, without some verification this is a going business.

1st gen off road is legit. You can email the owner Josh. I have bought many parts off him and so have many others. I see what you mean tho. It does have a section to the right and you can write in the year (order notes) Edit

Thank you for addressing this!

Have you got any way to get us a pic of the skid for a 1st gen?

and, do his 1st gen skids mount to both AC and double cab? The trucks are pretty different, and very different from 2nd/3rd gens, so that’s why, since there’s no drop down for years, I didn’t feel comfortable that he was ready with the right dimensions. That’s great, to hear from you that he can build for all!

Is there any way you can post pics of his plates mounted to a 1st gen truck— or link is to a place this is shown? We’d like to see the mounting points and what’s “protected”. I have no doubt that a bunch of forum members would order, for cat protection alone.

Also, could he do thicker than 1/8” for those wanted skid protection as well as cat protection?
