Anyone have experienced a clicking noise at very low speeds coming from your wheels?

I installed slotted rotors and HD brakes a little while back. Just started to hear a clicking from the front and rear wheels area on the driver side of my truck. Took it to the garage and them said it is do from the slotted rotor catching the brake pads as it is rotating. Don’t seem to hear it at faster speeds just when the truck is barely moving.

Possibly the dust shields are bent in and contacting the rotors?

I need to replace my dust shields as they are mostly rusted away but they are not touching anywhere. The garage told me the only fix would be the replace the slotted rotors with OEM rotors.

Check for a stone stuck between the shield.

I had an experience with a low speed clicking when I had RW wheels on my last tundra.

on the face of the hub, there was an excessive amount of anti-seize grease and upon cleaning up that and properly torquing the lugs, the clicking went away.

and yes, I think I know what you are referring too. Because I first noticed the sound when sitting in stop and go traffic on a high barriered road.
    Hope this helps.

Any chance your center cap is a bit loose? This can cause a low speed clicking noise. If the rotor was catching the pad as the shop suggested it would most likely be chipping the pads and that would be visible.

Bringing an old thread back.. I'm getting a clicking noise from my rock warrior wheels. When you say it's coming from the center cap, what do you mean. Center caps seem secure. What'd you do to fix this?

    thanks.

clicking can be many things, rock in tire tread, loose wheel weight, rim not seated/torqued correctly, loose lug nuts, brake shields etc.

If you can isolate the issue to one wheel, remove it, make sure the center cap it secure, clean any dirt, grease, corrosion, rust off the hub and wheel and then reinstall with correct torque and see if that takes care of your issue.
