    Good for you!

You know there is a car company that pretty much built it's rep on AWD, right? Obviously not everyone has the same needs as you

Even if cosmetics are down quite a ways on my list of priorities, that rendering did make me throw up in my mouth a little.

I fully expect 3.5tt with optional hybrid as the power train options.
But what still has me curious, is we've seen driver and passenger exit exhaust on the test mule shots. The official tundra photo(although it's a render) as well as the LC300 shots show driver side fuel fill doors. Fuel tank on driver side, exhaust on passenger.
So, why the driver exit exhaust on some of these test mule shots?
No reason to go through the trouble of rerouting the fuel system and exhaust to compare each config in real life scenarios, even if it is just on mules. That leads me to believe there just may be an entirely new engine coming that's design sets up for driver side exhaust.

They probably mean the upkeep is more expensive. It is not cheap to own a diesel in NA, let alone the more expensive entry price.

It's about 30 cents a gallon more around here. Sometimes it about the same, others it's a dollar more.

Toyota may need lab to offer TRD branded accessories like a cat back or muffler back dual exhaust. Maybe they are testing those too.

Alternatively the hybrid model may require exhaust to exit on the driver side? Maybe the battery is going to live opposite the fuel tank, and that requires a different exhaust?

Yeah, pricing across the country is very curious. Diesel was a little cheaper than regular (85 or 86 octane in mountain states)when I was last out to MOAB, but it was way cheaper than 87 octane. 87 is regular most everywhere east of the Mississippi, and in GA diesel runs about 20-30 cents cheaper right now. So diesel seems far less elastic the gasoline when it comes to pricing.

Correction: should have written gasoline is 2-30 cents more than diesel right now

Next thing you know they'll be letting them run Fortune 500 companies, vote, run for public office, or maybe moderate internet forums. Where will it end?

I would wager that most trucks are purchased by men and, based on trade industry demographics, overwhelmingly driven by men when used for occupational purposes.

The notion that men might better understand men and women might better understand women seems pretty common sensical.

This doesn’t mean women should be excluded from anything based on their gender. I hope we always have the best person in every position regardless of race, gender, national origin, etc. I’m sure the gentlelady in question was the best person for that position. However, I bet nobody would get their hackles up if someone said a woman would be better suited to design products overwhelming used by females.

Just fyi unless the article is less then 30 minutes old its already been posted on this thread or the info is already known.... with so many people on this thread info does not take long to show up from other places on the internet. And really unless toyota post something any other article is just restating what toyota says for the most part.

Umm, I have a hard time addressing the double talk in this post. No one in my personal life would ever mistake me for a feminist, but men have been designing purses, heels, and dresses for a long time...even though mostly women use those items. No one has suggested men should get out of the fashion designer business.

    Just No.

Anything built out requires user stories and requirements. No one person builds a truck or any large manufacturering project. Furthermore I am sure that a significant amount of decisions were based off board member input, market projections, money, and time.. Your logic is flawed.

Google men inventing female products. @szabo101 gave a few examples but that didn't even scratch the surface.

Just, yes. Google common sense. Men and women are different. In general, women better understand women’s needs and men better understand men’s. Doesn’t mean a designer of products primarily targeted toward either can’t be juxtaposed against the other. Simply means that a woman’s opinion should be given more credence if you’re designing items primarily targeted toward women and vice versa. It’s ridiculous that such notions are even debated in this day and age.

There’s no double talk. You’re throwing out a red herring. I simply said it’s not unfounded to believe a woman might do a better job designing products better suited for women based on their inherent understanding of women’s needs and vice versa. This is my last post on the matter.
