If I was to price the job for full interior, I would have to say +/- $350. That's assuming all interior panels were neglected same as what you have shown. If I were buying the truck for personal use or to flip, I would consider ordering new carpet and seats

Its a car but it's absolutely neglected. 1 step on the outside also. The thinking around 500 total because it's for a friend and he wants to make it a loaner car for his shop. I still think 500 is low for this for someone I don't know

What are you calling a one step on the outside? That makes a big difference.......
Worst for me was a USED maxi pad left in the back compartment of a minivan....... freaking disgusting. People are pigs man.

A Lot - .26 cents on the rear right passenger footwell.

Whoever takes that on, I hope they are paid well.

A compound that is a 1 step, or will finish down well enough..have to dog into the bag of tricks got an assortment. It's got plenty of dings and hail damage so I'm not going to get too crazy and then wax it

Haven't seen the outside but yeah if you are going to compound then that takes a good prep. 500 is probably a little to cheap......even for a friend

500 for the interior alone, friend or not. No guarantees on getting all of the stains out of the seats, they need a full extraction if they're all as nasty as what I see in the pictures....and they have to come out to get them clean(ish). It looks to me like its a small car, especially if the floor mat in the passenger side foot well is accurate.

That being said, I'd add 150 for the exterior, provided it's not covered in sap, road paint or tar. I'd not bother with a compound, or even a hybrid product like 3D One on the exterior. Wash it with a product like Purple Power Vehicle and Boat wash and make your life easy. Go right to a product like 3D Speed, Blackfire AIO, Meguiars D166 or Rupes Uno Protect on a polishing pad and call it a day. The way that thing looks, spitting on it and wiping it off would be an improvement.

I ended up going with 3d one hybrid because I bought it on sale and wanted to try it out. Probably wouldn't do it again the same. I can't say I really liked that compound for this. It did shine up but there are soooo many scratches far too deep. Thanks for the input I'll save it for when I get myself into another horrible situation like this.

Just out of curiosity...what did you not like about 3D One? For this application, the only real down side I can see is that it does not leave any protection. I've heard complaints about the wipe off...that it was oily. I've had that experience a little myself, but I did like the way it finished for a hybrid compound/polish, and I loved the long working time. I've also heard that the new Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions One and Done is more user friendly and finishes just as well.

It was my first using it so maybe I expected a bit too much but it didn't seem take out as much as I thought. I initially started with a orange LC pad then tried out some fast microfiber cutting pads( Which seemed to go flat and get too full of compound after priming btw). Also the fact that it didn't leave anything protection wise behind. Wipe off didn't seem bad. I seemed to get more out with griots fast correcting cream but that was one a totally different vehicle that didn't look near as bad. Maybe it was just me not being used to the product?

Any pictures of the final outcome?

Not surprised that you got more out of Griots Fast Correcting Cream....it's a straight up compound with above average cutting ability. Most of the cars I get are not worthy of a multi-stage correction......their owners want 'clean and shiny'. They get an AIO on a polishing pad, or maybe a UroFiber 50/50 pad.....enhance the finish and call it a day.

I forgot to take pictures but had my friend take a few. I assume he didn't do the back because there was no seat, I threw that shit away as her ordered a newer one from somewhere. Sorry no exterior before really.

The detailer near my work Auto salon in Concord NH charges $225 for a full detail that includes a clay bar and full interior shampoo and clean the engine. They do a excellent job. I’ve used them before and can’t say enough. Just had the wife’s car done, they did a great job. They charge more for pet hair removal.

350 for the whole car, 50 extra for dog hair. it's not as bad as it looks, in the first pics.

That's not bad for the whole car in good/average condition. This is well outta that range in all aspects so that helps with the price I have in my head at the moment.

Extreme interiors like that get a specific quote from me nowadays with how many we do, no regular menu price for stuff like this. I'd charge about $400 interior then another $280 for an AIO or $365 for a one step.

Edit: my thoughts are OP did a bang up job but f**k that lol. I've grown to severely hate extreme interiors even though we have done quite a few mangled jobs. I've begun turning interiors away that look like this. Problem is if you start doing them consistently and create great results, more and more people want it done and thats just not where I want to focus my time. And more often that not your time is wasted because if it got that way once, it'll get that way again. I understand its not my vehicle but if I do an extreme interior detail I would hope the owner would care for it better (surprise, they dont). That Journey we did last year came back AGAIN this year in the same condition. Did the job and I can promise you it's back to shit already.

Thank you for your replies! This is what I needed to hear. In a nutshell. I'm tired of people thinking my time is not worth what they want to pay to fix the damn mess they created or in this particular case we're gifted when they bought it for next to nothing.
