Alpharex USA headlights

My headlights work when I lock or unlock truck, I used the default setup and the harness as well. I know some bypass the harness but I installed everything the way it should be installed and it all works as planned.

Bulbs are pretty nice and fit in the housing really well.

 

@shdwkeeper Man I plugged in everything I could. I only had 1 plug without a spot to fit in. Every thing else works on the lights (DRL, High, Low, Turn, Hazards, and Auto Dim). Mine just don’t turn on when I unlock my truck.

 

Looks like that plug is for the height adjustment, does your truck have headlight leveling?

 

That’s what I figured. My truck does have auto leveling but I didn’t get that option on the headlights. My OEM headlights flashed the turn signal lights when I pressed the unlock button. But I’m not sure why the new ones don’t do anything.

 

Must be something hooked up wrong. Go over each connection, including fuse box and harness and make sure everything is snug. Do your left/right and hazards work?

 

yah the hazards work good. And I have checked everything a couple times but I’ll do it again

 

What grille is that? Sequoia?

 

I just realized this plug has no place ethier.

 

I have the auto level adjusting PRO series coming soon. I currently have OEM headlights and bulbs.

Do I just need 2 H7 and 2 4157NA LEDs to make these full LED or am I missing something?

Probably turn signals as well, is that the 4157? I installed H7 leds as shown in my previous post and they work well.

 

I was thinking about going with the same H7 Hikari as you did for low beams. And yes 4157 is the turn signal. I have been looking for a Hikari bulb for there also. Would be nice to round out the job with some amber LEDs in the fogs to match the signal LEDs.

Fogs are all for looks in SoCal lol

 

Has anyone given these a shot in the Alpha Pros?

Haven't tried. The Hikari are 30.4mm, so basically same size, $10 cheaper, only offered in 6000k, and they have an upgrade program that allows you to upgrade your leds a year later to the newest generation for little or no cost. Not sure what the lumen output is but I'm sure pretty close. I like Vleds though, have a lot of their interior bulbs.

 

I would go Hikari but want the amber fog

Probably overthinking it but it there a such adaptor to here I can run H7s in the fogs?

Well finally made the decision. Everything should be here soon and will install ASAP

 

So I got the Pros installed today and wired the DRL red/black to the battery and grey to the ign fuse. I can’t seem to get the DRL to function with the headlights off. What did I get wrong?

DRL does function with low intensity when low beams are on.

Also wondering what the yellow wire off the DRL harness is for?

 

Low beams Low beams and fogs Low and high beams I really like how all the color tones match with the lights up front.

Seems the Hikari are more defined, or maybe you need an adjustment?

 

I may need an adjustment I am not very familiar with the process but I think I got them very close. I could not get any horizontal adjustment from my pro housing.

Still can not get the DRL to come on when the headlights are off…..head scratcher?

Nope not really…I have the wires connected red/black to the battery and grey to the ign fuse tap. Wondering what I did wrong or if I got a bad DRL module
