It's official! I took it home on Saturday after we did a few rounds with them. I got $32k for my 4Runner and got the truck for $38k. Couldn't be happier with the outcome! Put 220 miles on it today and got it a little muddy. Awesome truck!

I didn't make it 1000 yards out of the dealership and a piece flew off the truck. The roof molding covering the passenger side roof-rack channel blew off. It was barely attached when I took delivery and noted before I drove off. I told the salesman that it would blow off and he said "Don't worry about it. We'll replace it regardless. So, I did just that... I'm pretty sure the guy detailing it broke the clip in the front and tried to hide it.

Otherwise, quite an impressive truck! I won't be doing much modding to it for some time. After buying the land and the truck and now having to get the farm tractor, mod-money will not be an option for a while. I'll be on the lookout for local stuff like a set of alloy/TRD wheels. If I find a set, I'll put some Open Country tires on them for when the OEM tires are worn out. First new mod will be the N-Fab Podium steps/Nerf Bars so the wife can get in the truck without climbing!

Thanks Roger! I have about 15 years before I retire but I plan to do it without any bills to pay. We bought the land and will be building the home there over time with cash (as much as we can) and when we reach a tipping point, we will sell this home and use the equity ti finish the new place. Wife, daughter and granddaughter all want a hobby farm so that is what I'm getting them. With proper care, this truck will last until then. Wow, what a difference between the 2017 and that 2006!

Great plan, I'm sure it will come together. Huge difference over the tundra gens. Advice on the mpg is only this. The "tow/haul" button is awesome but you'll get 12.9-13.5. Around town leave it off and you'll eventually end up with around 14.7-15.2, hgwy maybe 16.3. He's a big thirsty boy, don't complain:)

Sage advice! Thanks. I knew this one had a drinking problem before I brought him home. My bike also has a drinking problem so they will get along just fine! LOL!!!
