Bought a set of rigid a-series off eBay. Was dead convinced after purchasing I had screwed up and bought a knock off set because of the price. Called rigid, place is an authorized dealer. Get the lights today and they’re loose packaged. Thought damnit, got screwed, so I message dude asking how to register my purchase. He sends me a link to rigid. Fill out the info, and got the confirmation just a minute ago, everything checks out.

Sure does. I miss my teenage years driving an unregistered car with no license, no insurance, no seat belts, no front windshield. Ahh to be young and rebellious.

Yup, enough people bitched about the annual $32 Public Safety fee added to our registrations that it was repealed effective July 1st of this year. Registration fees here are way cheaper than what I used to pay back in NY.

Curiosity has me here but, has anyone ever toyed with plenum spacers on the 4.7? Just curious if it’s been messed with to see any potential reasons to do it.

increasing runner length could help low end at the cost of top. Hmmm

The factory intake runners are already pretty long. I dunno if an extra inch would add much.

Good ole Idaho. I pay $0 for safety and $0 for smog cause….we ain’t got them. Registration is weight dependent but even with a custom plate I pay $98/yr…freedom units

I got my truck approved to become a passenger vehicle because of my shell last week, so I no longer have to pay that $80 weight fee. Muhahaha. I just paid $231 including $40 for my plates.

Here in GA they changed the system a few years back to remove luxury taxes (ad valorem). But if you bought your car prior, you still get to pay ad valorem. My Tundra, bought after the tax change, costs me $20 base tag reg fees +$35 for custom tag, so $55 year? For the 2nd gen Highlander, $20 base tag fee and $206 ad valorem tax for $226.47.

When we first got the Highlander new as the 3rd gen were coming out, ad valorem tax was the law of the land. The 1st re-registration I paid over $600. As much as I don't want a new vehicle, I really, really want to get the yearly taxes off my ass.

I realize those cars come with serious packaging constraints.
But GD that timing belt is simultaneously exposed and buried.

Got an email from the tire place, my front tires that were shipping from LA to my house (all of 50 miles) were damaged in shipping. I don't know ow how you damage a tire in shipping but thats okay. The ones that came from Nevada got here two days ago, I suppose I can take them to get mounted this weekend.

If they were shipped with just a label stuck to the open tire, it may have gotten contaminated by another package. Maybe an exploding aerosol paint can?

    Been pretty busy recently.
Stepped away from my nursing profession of the last 9 years and have been going through the process of becoming a UPS driver. Been on the road for a week now and driving the biggest rig in the fleet lol. Quite a cut in pay for now but overall better for my mental health and long term for the family.

Yeah, damn cheap cans of spray paint exploded before I could spray the security cam and come back for my night job as a porch pirate. UPS pays me more for that than the day job; probably because they know what’s in the packages. lolol

Good for you, sometimes sanity is more valuable than money.
So do you have your cdl; are you driving a semi tractor trailer set up or just the biggest brown turd they have to locals?
A guy at work temped for them during the busy season and said its not bad as a local guy but his driver kicked ass all day

No cdl, just the biggest rig they have. A 1300 freightliner diesel. Busting fucking ass all day but its a nice change. They're pretty non forgiving up here when it comes to the 30 day. Long term wouldn't mind going cdl route with them but gotta start low for now.

This one hits home. After one too many scares since 2019, finally taking the bull by the horns and preparing to leave my employer of 20+ years. Looking to stay in the same industry, but in a different vein, wearing a different hat.

As someone that's already lost 5 close friends & family members since 2019 for the most obvious reason, I appreciate the work you put in, I'm apologetic about the selfish ignorance 80% of those I lost showed which made lives of ppl in your former role so miserable.

They call the Semi's feeders. Typically doubles where I live. I think some states pull 3 at a time.? Big $$$ if you can eventually get into this job.
