If I swap my 2019 Platinum grill for a 2018 and up Pro grill will the TSS sensor need recalibrating due to the lower position of the sensor on the new Pro grill. It looks to me like the Platinum sensor position is behind the Toyota Emblem in center of the grill whereas on the Pro grill the sensor goes behind the Garnish below the TOYOTA emblem in a lower position.
Has anybody that has done this swap had any issues?
Truck is stock height wheels suspension everything all stock
    Thanks

You may or you may not. Not every truck and sensor reacts the same way.

Swapped mine out from Sport (honeycomb) grille to Pro grille and no issues. Going on a year now.

Good to know, the sport and platinum grills are the same I think. I just don't want to open a can of worms and end up having to go to a dealer to recalibrate.

I went from a 2018 limited with tss sensor to a 2019 TRD pro grille and the sensor didn't need modified from the dealership. I did it over a year ago and it's still flawless.

That gives me more confidence in my decision. I ordered the grille with an OEM Garnish. All will be here Tuesday.
    Thanks

These all look really good. I'd like to eventually swap out my 1794 chrome grill for a body color surround and either the black mesh or TRD PRO grill. It's just too much chrome as is for my liking.

I went ahead with the swap. I notice the radar cruise is not as sensitive although it does work the distance bars don't seem to make much difference with the pro grille. I notice the millimeter wave radar sensor is a different part number Pro to Platinum and wondered if I should replace that also?

I have a black Limited, last year bought the black hood bulge and just recently bought a black Platinum grill for it.
Very happy with the new look, I like the honeycomb grill a lot and didn't feel like dealing with the Pro garnish bs.
