What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

It works amazingly. Screw on cap. Screw in hose, once it's all the way on the oil then starts to drain through hose so make sure its already in a jug. Drains 95% of oil, no mess at all

 

Yup, disposing of the oil used to be my main reason for not doing oil changes, i just bit the bullet and bought a drain container for 20 bucks and its a breeze now. Cant even imagine letting someone change my trucks oil now....

 

I just got my Tundra. I dislike the factory rubber mats. I didn't realize the passenger side has a lock down. Mine doesn't.

 

Is there a kit for this?

You can get one here. Not cheap, but worth the $$. It's also available without the funnel, but I like it because it screws into the filler tube so you can use both hands to pour from a 5 qt container. Also, there are other "bottoms" available to the 2-part funnel that make it work on other engines as well.

 

So the funnel screws onto the oil fill on top of the engine? I'd seen this before and assumed it screwed onto a container to drain the oil into.

Quite a bit for 6 weeks of ownership..

 

Ordered a C4 Overland bumper with Squadron Pro fogs and the S8 light bar to replace my bumper and fog light that got destroyed by a deer.

I probably won't have it until mid October, but I have a question for those who know what they're doing with wires. What are my options for wiring up the S8? I also ordered the harness to go with it fyi. Am I going to need to install a switch for it? Can it be wired up to my fog light switch since I'm not likely to ever have one on and not the other?

Help a guy with only the most basic electrical knowledge be prepared.

 

I’m going to add that eventually and an RCI Skid Plate. Taking the OEM off is a pain.

 

I just got this kit and used it this last weekend. Make it much easier and a lot less mess. I really like the drain for the filter, it is just about empty it.Just take your time.

Installed black (plastic) bead locks bolts on the Ray 10s. Only did 1 tire for now, it's 100⁰ outside.

 

Disabled Veteran Plates issues by CA DMV.

Wrapped the shifter surround plastic plate. A vendor used to sell a precise cutout for the very same thing that I purchased for my Tacoma, prior to the Tundra. After the AJT blackout kit installed, I found I was still getting blinded by the reflection from this plastic piece.

So I decided to tackle it myself. It’s not perfect, but it’s gonna be wayyyy better going forward. I might just cut the entire left side off & lay a new piece, but I’ll see how much it bothers me.

Check out the SwitchPro 9100 through SDHQ. Expensive but once you have it installed, hooking other lights to it is a breeze. No messing with inline fuses or relays either. I have one and no regrets.

 

Just made my final payment on it. Yahooo!!!!!!

 

Installed Front/Rear anytime camera today. Big shoutout to @TundraTex for an excellent product and superb customer service. The FRAC harness is as advertised. I can’t believe I waited this long to do this mod. No more tennis ball and no more bumping into garage wall. This was an easy install thanks to video on FRAC harness thread. $20 camera and a FRAC harness, easy peasey.

 

Sooo much better IMO.

 

Can we get a broadside before and after shots of the the whole truck with both wheels once you've got them complete? It's nice to see the effect on the whole truck.

 

Will do tomorrow. Wife works graveyard shift and uses the truck to work. She prefers the truck over her Pilot.
