I did it last year. Very easy, hardest part is routing the wiring under the truck with zip ties. Comes with an adapter to splice wiring in front passenger kick panel.

It’s a harder sell compared to the OEM 38 gallon tank. Personally I would still opt for the TransferFlow with the aluminized steel construction and 8 extra gallons. At the time there was an option to have it sprayed with bed liner (I opted for this especially with all the road salt in winters where I’m at) but it doesn’t seem to be an option any longer from TransferFlow - at least on their web site.

    Lots.
I really like them so far. Quality made, compact, super bright. I purchased the combo pattern for this application and it puts out light exactly as I expected. I also like that everything on the light and mount are powder coated black (except for the SS bolts and nuts) and it makes it less shiny and obtrusive.

Those are sharp ! Did you have any thought of going back to OEM after the spyder experience ? ... curious because really thinking of going Hirev. Let us know your opinion of fit and finish compared to spy and oem :)

    Not enough....
I probably would have thrown the OEM ones back in, but I bought the truck with the Spyder's already installed, so I didn't have the OEM lights on hand.

The Spyder's also had some cheap LEDs with those separate heat sinks that get crazy hot, so I was glad to get rid of them.

The Hirev certainly are sharp. I like the amber turn signal as well. There is a short YouTube video showing their full animations which is nice. Those options can be turned off I believe if you request it, like the start up animation and the sequential turn signal. They do seem to be built pretty well, considering they are still coming from China. They are just under $400 after shipping, so not as cheap as the Spyder or Winjet, so I'm hoping better quality lol. Time will tell though.

I had smoked headlights not on my truck but not tinted and immediately returned them for the clear kind. I have my windshield legally tinted and it was too dim for me.

I did not install this myself. I was familiar with it and wanted this tank. Ironically during a routine maintenance at the dealer we ended up coordinating this with a warranty/recall of the fuel pump. The accessories gentleman was very curious about this tank as well and wanted to see one for future sales.

No real negatives here. It’s solid build quality, maximizes every inch of available space and provides tremendous peace of mind with capacity and puncture resistance. The bed liner coating is icing on the cake in terms of long term investment. I tend to drive my vehicles until the wheels fall off. Part of the appeal of the tundra :)

I’ve attached a few photos. The photo with the frame rail is a bit deceiving. The tank hangs less than an inch below the frame. It’s long, over six feet. And heavy. TransferFlow lists the dry weight at 187 pounds. It’s really tucked up in there very cleanly. It’s most visible from the driver side rear wheel well. I imagine use of a lift and a transmission jack would be super helpful on this install.
