I would say go to your local LKQ, but looks like you might be in a salty location so everything might look that bad at the yards.

I have no experience with that and Noah seems to think not. If we push it through its then loose inside the tone ring. At least now it's driveable if he has to.

Can anyone explain the ABS fuses on the DC's? We can't make sense of the fuse panel as it relates to the ABS fuses.

I might drive a screw into it and yank the screw to pull it. Three known manglers might take the safe route though.

Oh that looks like fun. I think there’s a 1AAuto video of them drilling out the sensor from inside the hub.

Oh you 100% know it was me. Don't play!

To be fair, Iowa winters caused this. John was watching me as this happened and none of us envisioned a scenario where the tip of the sensor would be rusted to the inside of the hub. I'm not working on anything sensitive the rest of the week though. I'll let John break something next.

I was wondering where the truck came from to have that much rust. Didn't seem like a southern truck.

We ended up leaving the 2nd sensor in place as Noah couldn't get it out. We just removed the entire ABS wire with it. We've got everything out but the LCA's. Taking a quick break and then resuming in a bit. The pivot bolt on the passenger side UCA was rusted in place. They had to cut it and then we spent an hour fighting to remove it. F*C% rust!

I have been pushing this truck to its limits. Its a bone stock trd with the original bilsteins, has highway tires on aswell. I have probably been a little too rough on it the past few months and it would make Mr. Hand model cringe. All i know is, with how meticulous the majoirty of members here are, your tundras are going to last forever. Unless a dumb teenager runs into you, then you will be forced to buy a pos new age plastic truck.

Thanks. Gimme a few trips, it’ll have as much character as yours. The sun hasnt been kind to the ‘leather’ for the last 20 years, but not too bad. Dont see the monochromatic metal bumper trucks very often.

I bought the same ones, posted about them some days ago. Densos website linked to the Amazon product page when you due a parts search.

I have seen fake Toyota parts via eBay come up in some YouTube videos. However the vendor I purchased from was Denso and not a 3rd party

    part number is 673-1303

Finally got up enough nerve to pull off the bed plastic rails, to address a rust spot. Broke a tab or two on the first side, but got the hang of it for second side.
Pro tip, start at tailgate and using both hands, one outside, one inside, start pulling it up. Work your way towards front of truck. Sanding, priming, painting, clear coating......feeling much better now.

Am-zon has exponential problems with counterfeit products, some using extremely convincing packages etc. Ignition related products - plugs and coils - seem to be really high on the list, as do appliance and small engine parts. Boxes look very real, but sometimes show flaws, bleeds, etc. One of thousands of threads online is over here over spark plugs: https://www.tundras.com/threads/real-vs-fake-denso-plugs-w-pics.60880/

I know you may be saying, "But I clicked on a link from Denso to get to the product!" or "I made sure I clicked on the one that said 'fulfilled by XYZ'". I've been told time and time again from guys working in our nearest warehouse that they don't separate products when they reach the warehouse, they just dump all the merch together. They may get 3 legit shipments and 1 counterfeit shipment and they all get tossed together for picking to box. So you really, honestly never know what you're getting if it's being packaged at the warehouse.

I repair all the appliances in our house and only order 'Genuine OEM' parts. Most of our appliances are Frigidaire and Electrolux (made or branded). Frigidaire uses specific OEM packaging. I've had to send back roughly 40% of the parts I've ordered through the big A-to-Z because parts arrive in non-Frigidaire packaging or without any OEM part number or branding, despite the product page clearly stating Genuine OEM. Sadly, there's nothing you can do either. If you report it, nothing happens. They know it's an issue but as long as ol Jeffy keeps raking in the $$ hand over fist they won't fix it.

tl;dr - you cannot trust the big A-to-Z store for parts. I highly recommend getting your parts elsewhere. They're unable to provide any reasonable guarantee, and it doesn't behoove them to try. They're quickly becoming our domestic Alibaba.

My reco: Sign up for Summit Racing and RockAuto coupons. They both already have lower pricing on a lot of stuff because they sell in such high volume. When you tack on coupons, you can really walk away ahead. I've never gotten counterfeit product or even questionable product from either when buying name-brand.

Found a topper for $100! It has the full flip up front glass so I can retain the awesomeness of the DC rear window roll down.
The downside is that it is missing the back glass. These seem pretty hard to find but luckily, I'm a skilled woodworker & have a friend who is a skilled metalworker. I'll most likely just build my own backglass to fit...

Now I can start putting the adventure rig / camper dreams into action!
