This is more of what I expected. A company like Toyota can crank these out like jack rabbits assuming they have the materials.

My dealer told me 6-8 weeks from build date. Maybe they are trying to underpromise/overdeliver. I'm hoping my timeline is more like yours.

    Fingers crossed.

What color Platinum did you get?

My local dealer has this '18 for sale. It's in excellent shape and the former owner babied it in terms of driving style and mechanically. I know, because I'm the former owner. :)

I love my '21 CM, but kind of want my '18 back too.

Had my '21 in for service in Kirkland Washington on Monday. As I was waiting I took a walk around to look at what was on the lot. The only unsold trucks were two Tacomas. They did not have any unsold new cars!

I was out at my local-ish dealer for parts today when I saw my old Tundra on the lot. They had maybe a half dozen used Tundras on the lot, no new ones.

So...is anyone else here sitting with a paid off Tundra thinking they should sell soon just to sit on/ invest the cash until the 2022 rolls out?

Essentially, time the market, get a new truck while cushioning themselves from depreciation???

Could not find an Army Green Trail CM anywhere close in my area without markup. Dealer 1.5 hours from me had one allocated to them in May. Build date was 6/18/21, I put $500 down 6/19/2021, paying MSRP. Just had an e mail from dealership, she was delivered last night! So for my timeline it was about 3.5 weeks from build date to delivery. Hope this helps!

It's really tempting. If I had more time I'd go see what carmax would offer me. But I'm about to install my tech12volts stuff and new HU, etc., so I'm pretty much settling on this truck until I either get rich or it doesn't start lol!

Feel so fortunate to have grabbed the last great, well built, old school truck - new.

It was a difficult buy - Tundras in the area were on lots for only a couple days. Otherwise you were having to leave a deposit on in transit trucks.

I sold my paid off '18 Tundra to buy a '21 Tundra. I wanted to get in on a new one before the next gen rolled in.

Its been a crazy year as they say. Traded my ZL1 (for what I paid for it) on a 21' Heritage Edition Land Cruiser at well under MSRP. Then sold my 15' Tundra for a much inflated price and bought a Civic Type R at MSRP, drove it for 4 months like a rental car, and then sold it to Carmax for $43k. Took that money and put it down on a 21' TRD Pro Tundra at slightly under MSRP that should be here in 2 weeks or less. Good times in an otherwise crappy year! Happy to have 2 of the last gen V8 Toyotas.

I don't own it but feel like I should be in their profit sharing program or something....I have purchased an average of 2 cars a year there for the last 10 years from the same sales manager. I typically hate dealership shenanigans so when I find a good place I like to stick with them! I need a cheaper hobby however....

[IMG] And just got a call from the dealer saying my 2021 TRD Pro Tundra just got delivered.
Timeline for others who are waiting:
-I called dealer on 6/21 and allocation was not pre sold so I put a deposit down to hold
-They said truck was expected to be delivered 7/26/21
-Dealership showed order date of May 2021 on VIN lookup website (https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/vehicle-specification)
-On 7/8/21 they contacted me saying the full VIN was available indicating the truck had been built
-This morning 7/16 they called and said truck had arrived at dealership.

Super happy Toyota has their crap together and chip shortage didn't seem to abnormally affect their quoted delivery times. Beat my est delivery date by 10 days!!

wow, that is almost identical to my situation except they have not received the truck yet. Called them on 6/18 build date was 7/7, told me it'd be in end of this month.

crossing my fingers its sooner! Congrats!!

My build date was supposed to be 7/26 but received confirmation on 7/24 that it was built. Truck is scheduled to arrive on 8/9. Very surprised that the truck is ahead of schedule and fingers crossed it arrives soon!

I am coming from a Tacomaworld (19 Tacoma TRD OR LB) and looking forward to getting active on here!

ARE Z series topper will be here in a month

    Love the 1 mile ODO

My third Tunny, but first non-used, so loving being able to break her in myself

    Nice looking truck!

I know what you mean about the ODO reading. I found my '21 on the lot, but it had 2 miles on the odometer when I did my test drive. I love knowing the miles on that truck are about as much mine as they ever can be with a vehicle.

Reading about you all getting your new '21 trucks makes me happy and excited for all of you. Brings me some nostalgia from when I got mine just about a year ago. Here are some pics from my wait and when mine came in:

Depends on how the V6 engines work out. If they are turds, the 2021 will likely increase in value.
