It looks like I have to do a repair on the Red Freighter. I know nobody will believe this so I will take a picture to prove it. I got in my truck this morning and the 4 wheel low light was flashing then I noticed no back up camera and no back up lights and down the road no cruise control. I wonder what my jealous neighbor did to my truck but on the way home from work the check engine came on and the traction control light said off and I was not able to turn on. I pulled into Auto Zone and they did a diagnostic check and it put out a P0705 code which meant a bad transmission range sensor. I found a new one on line for $197.52 and looks like a easy install.

Soak the shaft area of the old one with some penetrating lube, the sooner the better. Let it soak long as possible, as it's a steel shaft with an aluminum collar in the switch . If you take a picture of the side of the switch, I might be able to give a pointer on how to adjust it once you get it installed. I just did a range sensor on an Aisin auto tans last week, not on a Tundra, but it's fresh in my mind.

Are you serious on the neighbor issue? I don't mean that in a sarcasm question. Serious question...so we can help you set him up and get caught.

Not really, I'm just paranoid. He drives a ford 2wd. I sensed resentment when I asked for help putting on my running boards.

Did you read the PDF? I don't think that sensor is causing the problem, which is often the case with how the trouble codes are worded.

Boy that's real technical I was just thinking replace the sensor and go from there. I all ready ordered it. I also don't have a gear indicator light.

Nest cams (Former Drop Cam) work great. You can draw a box around what ever you want to keep watch over and you will get IM on your phone. You can watch them live and let them started doing what ever they are going to do while you get your AR cocked and ready to go and sneak up on them from behind. Be careful not to hit your truck.

@Nor7, I'm curious as to why those instructions are for the A750E/F transmission when that was not an option for MY2013 - the A750E/F was the 5spd auto used behind the 4.7L 2nd gen Tundras, which was long since history by MY2013. @Red Freighter has either a A760E/F (4.6L), or a AB60E/F (5.7L), with "E" being 2wd, and "F" being 4wd.

Also, the transmission range sensor is the same physical item as the "Park/Neutral Switch", just to clear up any possible confusion between the two names for the same item, which there appears to be here??

No confusion, the same trouble code is used across all transmissions so I don't think it matters. There are several reasons for this code and the issue could be something minor, which it might be if he's also getting some other lights coming on. Maybe a rodent chewed through a wire, or a soda was spilled in the PRNDL.

I agree that there are other possibilities as you say, likely even a fuse (IG-1 in your diagram, and I'd look at the BK/up fuse too.) It's also very possible the range sensor down in the elements on the side of the transmission is at fault.

OK, I just wanted you to know that more idiot lights came on throughout the first day which would exclude a fuse. I'm just want to replacing the sensor. Does anybody have tips on torque specks or how to unfasten the shiftier cable.

OK the rest of the story. I replaced the transmission range sensor. Everything still not working. Off to the mechanic I go. I guess diagnostics are just a bunch of B.S.

My mechanic found the problem. It was the LED back up lights that I started thread on. So no more LED lights on the stock electrical systems. A regular bulb works like a fuse but a LED blows a fuse. I will let everybody know on the LED back up thread.

Crappy deal to go through all that for blown fuse, but thanks for coming back with the update.

Bumping an old thread because I had the same issue with the same DTC.
My reverse lights were out, backup camera wouldn’t work, check engine light was on, traction control was off, and sport mode shifting wouldn’t work.

I found a blown fuse for the reverse lights. Did a visual inspection of my VLEDS led reverse bulbs and didn’t see any thing wrong. Replaced the leds with original bulbs and replaced fuse.

Thanks @Red Freighter, all is good now!!

So I have the same issue in my 2007 limited tundra. P0705 code all dash lights are on no reverse lights. I read that it might be a fuse? How do I check that and where do I find the fuse? Thanks I’m advance for the help!

Under the dash on a 2016. Should be on yours too. I don't remember which fuse it was. Just check them all with a test light.

Look under the hood. Check the 10A back up lights fuse.

What’s a test light? Sorry I can do basic mechanics and pretty much figure most things out but limited on experience. I already replaced the back up lights fuse but that didn’t solve any of the lights on the dash

Ha! You guys are awesome! Never in a million years would I have checked the back up light fuse! That’s ridiculous! But it solved the problem! Thankyou! Saved me a ton of money!

Pull the reverse lights and see if the fuse still blows. If it doesn’t, test or change the bulbs.

If the fuse still blows, you have a short somewhere in the wiring that you messed with.
