The best part will be if that graphic is standard, no matter what color the actual truck is. Have a black truck? The graphic will still show a white one...just to remind you how slow your truck is. :D

This is going to be an overpriced and under equipped Tundra. People should not buy this truck. Please stay away from your South Austin Toyota dealers. Thank you.

I’d assume parking brake. A lot of manufacturers going to the button vs foot pedal parking brake.

Haha, we shall see what the future holds. So far it looks like they are showing nothing but the highest end TRD Pro for a teaser.

My first instinct on the red interior is that it is absolutely terrible.... However, I thought Lunar Rock was absolutely horrendous, now I sort of like it.

I would fell a little..... funny....driving around in that bright red interior.

I'm just curious how much they're carrying that camo them all throughout. It looks like it's on the fenders, grille, and seats so far.

Yeah for sure different and outside the norm for a Toyota. I actually thought the outside of the truck leaked pictures looked pretty good. Looks pretty much the same and in line with every other 2020+ 1/2 ton.

Another photo of the terrain select knob shows that switch is for the 2HI-4HI-4LO select.

The top left button is 'Drive Mode'. It sound like it may let you select between settings like gravel, snow, baja...

Would that be for the MTS instead? I see drive mode as Eco, Comfort, Sport, It's a Truck Dammit, etc settings.

I had dinner with a good friend of mine last night who is a Chevy master tech, he has 2 of these in the shop for the exact same issue your taking about. I think he told me the part that was bending was the timing gear, but since GM designed it to be in the rear it's a major repair. He said they are also having a heck of a time with collapsed lifters on the 20' up 5.3 trucks...3 of those in the shop this week for that.

The crank shaft reluctor gear is almost always mounted on the rear of the crank in any engine I can think of. If it’s bent the easiest warranty solution is probably a new crank shaft since the gear is pressed on most of the time.

This is the reason why I didn't buy a Chevy/Ford/Ram truck.

I don't see how one problem with GM would discredit two other brands.

Ford has reliability and design issues (example placing the water pump in the timing chain casing) and Ram has issues with their cam shafts. All big dollar items to fix or maintain.

Exactly. With the new push by the govt to be more efficient they could have as many issues with the big 3 introducing this technology into their powertrain. The 5.7 is reliable albeit not very MPG friendly.

Always trust your first instinct. Lunar Rock is a 70s hospital hall colour (and is slow Alpha Foxtrot). Red interiors are for pimps and Bond villains. Just kidding, I actually like them both to look at or go for a ride in, just not for my all 040 driveway;)

I will take reliability over MPGs any day. At least we know our trucks will be running as long as we can afford to put the gas in them.
