What are the recommended floor mats for a 2021 crewmax?

another vote by me for husky. Mine have held up great. only recommendation is give us if you ever bring your truck to a place to get detailed, remember to “unlock” the tabs that hold the front ones in place. I didn’t once and the workers ended up just ripping it out and breaking it.

 

I went Husky on my 2021.

I've owned WeatherTech, Michelin, and Husky. Out of those, I like the Huskys the best.

Gators are made by Husky. They even come with the Husky instructions from what other members have posted.

Husky have lifetime guarantee. Not sure about the off brands.

 

This is my vote as well. I have them and they are awesome. Almost 0 exposed carpet now. Stays in place great with the extended rear under seat coverage. It stands up to my 2 toddlers.

 

I have weathertech. I say go for the husky.

 

I’ve had Weathertech and Husky’s (X Act Contour).

Get the Husky’s.

Both can last a LONG time, but the Husky’s don’t seem to fade, stiffen up, and curl the way the WeatherTechs did in my experience.

 

Do you have pictures you could post of them? The Weathertech mats look like they have more coverage than Husky

Another Husky vote. Mine fit perfect. I wish they came up the side walls of the under seat, but it's not a huge deal.

 

I will try to get a pic tonight, i rode my bike to work today. I cant imagine the weathertechs having more coverage than the huskys, unless they go up the sides of the center console.

Which Husky mats are you guys recommending? The harder, plastic Weatherbeaters? Or the more supple Xact Contour?

 

I have the X-Act, they've been great so far. The passenger side does tend to move around, what I did was get some hook side velcro that is sticky on one side and hook on the other and stuck it to the bottom of the floor mat. The hook side holds on to the carpet.

 

Weatherbeaters are not hard plastic, they are rubber

 

From what I understand though, one of them is much more rigid. Is that right?

 

In my opinion the difference between the two is extremely subtle.

I bought Weatherbeaters for the front and back for my 2021 just weeks ago. Put them all in, liked them. Quickly discovered I had a problem in the rear though. I tend to keep a lot of stuff on the floor of the back seat, usually have the seats folded up and have stuff sitting on the floor below the seats as well. Problem was the Weatherbeaters were a little slick, slick enough that when taking turns I was having stuff slide around on the back floor, a lot. Brought up the issue here and I was told the X-Act Contour Huskys are much softer and more rubbery, and I wouldn't have that issue. So I bought the rear X-Act Contour. When it arrived, frankly I felt I got bad advice. The X-Act Contour was very slightly more rubbery feeling, but the difference was so minor I could barely tell, and that's having both right in front of me. My wife felt the same.

But, I had to return one at that point, so I returned the Weatherbeater, and I must admit I haven't had things sliding around so much in the back with the X-Act Contour. Now that said, I've also started loading things back there in a way where they are less likely to slide anyway, but I do think it made a difference.

So bottom line, in my experience, if sliding cargo in the back is an issue, go X-Act Contour over the Weatherbeater. But for up front, I really don't think it matters, at least to me. They say the Weatherbeater is easier to clean.

 

Ask Husky that question. I only use what works well for my application.

 

I actually put the front seat bolts through the mat to stop this issue. Its worked flawlessly. The eagle claw things and similar products just would not cut it.

 

Front seat bolts? Mine definitely do not extend under the seat far enough to do that. The driver's side has the little hold down clips, but the passenger is basically a pan that lines the floor.

 

My passenger husky’s x-act came with a piece that goes into the carpet to create a similar locking effect like on the drivers side

 

The Xact contours go up and cover the front bolts of the seat. See the driver side picture above. You can see the portion that goes over the bolts.

 

I think the Weathertech mats actually do go up the console more. I’m not concerned with price obviously, they’re about equal. I want the most coverage.

 

The Huskys have worked flawlessly for me. Not worth the extra money for weathertech. IMO

 

Sure enough. Took a look when I got in and they do go up and over those bolts.
