Hey Keith, we've been messaging back and fourth for the last few days about swapping my 10" system for a 12". I'm wondering about the difference I'll hear between the two and if it's enough at normal cruise + towing to notice?

We can go to 14”. That will make a noticeable difference. With our lifetime warranty regarding sound, it’ll be a free swap, you’ll just have to pay for shipping.

    All ‘standard systems’ are included.

    here’s a budget dumped system:
    http://dirtydeedsindustries.com/product/aluminized-standard-budget-dumped-system/

That said, I recommend running our standard non dumped budget system:
    http://dirtydeedsindustries.com/product/standard-budget-system/

And call to order rather than ordering online. Because if you run that system but cut the tailpipe instead of us dumping it: you get way better low end torque. We have the same control over the drone that we do on our non dumped version. But I need to know because we make the Helmholtz 6” longer and that’s how the drone is controlled. 760-877-4234

How loud is the 10" at start up when doing a cold start while the truck is parked in the garage?

My 2010 "barks" pretty good at cold start. Our Tundras start at high idle,so it's to be expected. I'm getting old & cranky, so I'll be moving up to one of Keith's 14" systems in a couple weeks.

If the kids rooms are right on the other side of the wall from the garage it’ll be on the edge of too loud. The 10” still has enough bark to notice 5-6 spots away in a parking lot. If you pull into your garage ‘forward’ (not backed in) you should be able to get away with it if there’s no kids right next to garage.

2 of my kids' room is right on top of the garage and only way I can park inside is by backing in.:(

Do the 12, 14, and 16 inch systems still give the performance and mpg gains mentioned for the 6,8, and 10?

I would go with the 14” system. You still get the power and drive ability. But it’s quieter:)

It depends. There’s different places where it’s different from the Trd pro. At startup it’s more aggressive. Stab the throttle to rev it, more aggressive. Lightly accelerate from a red light, about the same as Trd. Gun it, and the 10” is way more aggressive. Both in sound level and the quality of sound. But on the highway, 10” is way quieter than Trd.

Yep. Our hand built mufflers don’t reduce flow. They absorb sound without restricting flow.

I have the 10” and forward facing park in my garage. It will bark on a cold start but I look at it as a way I’m saying “good morning” to my neighbors :D

Just wanted to take a moment to endorse Keith and his "Dirty Deeds" products. I bought a 10" system earlier this year for my 2020 Crewmax after consulting with Keith over the phone. The ordering, shipping, and install went great and I could not be happier. My family and I tow a camper several times a year and my wife was concerned the truck would sound obnoxious and annoying going down the road whether towing or not. The family loves the sound of the truck and there definitely is no drone when towing.
I also have a 2013 Tacoma and if I install an exhaust system on it, Keith and Dirty Deeds will be my choice....no doubt about it.

This is good info. So maybe I should consider a 12” if I want quieter that the TRD exhaust and no drone…hmmm

I have experience with the 12. @biebs96 is the new owner of the system so maybe he’ll weigh in too.

With resonator, 12 is deeper and more than stock but less than TRD on the inside. Exterior is a little more than TRD.

Link below has videos of the 12
