What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

You can make anything happen for your kids. But it does make it tougher at times haha

Thanks. It's the kids replacement after her Rodeo was totaled out last week. Its a 2006 with 156K miles.

 

Had a very annoying "ka-thunk" sound inside the cab on take-off. I could have sworn it was coming from the center console so I had slowly been pulling things out of the new organizer I had put in. Finally was convinced it was the new organizer itself somehow shifting and hitting against the side of the console. Then yesterday I opened the glove box and had a "duh" moment. The manuals in the glove box that I had totally forgotten about were the culprit.

Put those suckers in a ziplock bag with some air in it, which holds them in place. No more mystery thud on take-off. Or maybe I'll just take them out.

I feel real smart for not figuring this out sooner.

 

It should serve you well. Mine is an 06 too, nautical blue, has about 20k more miles than yours. Stock except for a new head unit and OME suspension/larger tires.

 

Yesterday I installed my IPT-upgraded valve body and this morning I filled up the transmission

 

Installed this. Perfect fit!

 

I also installed a B&M transmission pan this morning, it sits lower than the side rails, but higher than the crossmembers:

Feedback: I don’t use the storage everyday, but I do appreciate having it. Would do it again. The volume of storage is smaller than I would like, but I’m not willing to spend more for the larger metal option.

What does this do?

 

Adjusts the shift points and line pressures for firmer shifts and reduces clutch slippage, insurance for the transmission to last longer with the additional abuse from the supercharger

 

I just changed my wife's solenoids last week on her transmission. That was a repair though. Saved me slot of money. What does the IPT upgrade accomplish?

Felt left out at work this morning...

 

Changed differentials and transfer case fluid at 40k mi. Front diff and transfer case looked great. Rear diff had this. Hope it just from break in.

 

Currently in the middle of doing brakes and I am straight up not having a good time.

 

My rear diff looked a lot the same for it’s first change. Come to find out, very normal

 

Put tow mirrors on. Trying to figure the crap wiring of kjto4x4 since there are 0 instructions.
Would not recommend. Called. Emailed. No response.
