Hannemann Hood w/ scoop Install

Here is my install and review thread.

Note the hood pins are sold individually so you will need to order 2.

Very easy one-man job and the total time was about an hour or so if I did it all at once.
I was doing a lot in-between so my install was over a few days.

Straight forward, remove the grill, hood supports, and bolts.

Drill for washers, I upgraded to Honda odyssey washers to get a better spray.

Install hood pins where you like, the radiator support had holes that fit my Daystar hood pins perfectly and looked good to me in the middle.

I ended up ordering longer studs just to fit better but that was not really needed.

Other than that this hood is light, well made with 9 out of 10 fitment.

I'm adding the hood shock back and an underhood light but that's just for me.

I've had the hood on for a few weeks and parking it in the sun with the heat really helps it relax back into shape.
The grill also helped the fitment on the front area.

This is unpainted with only the factory gelcoat.

Looks great with my white but I'll get to painting and final adjustments on everything in a few months.
(it needs to move forward a bit)

This scoop is open and the benefit is more for supercharger guys that cools the manifold.
Same idea as non-VVTi metal manifold guys swapping to VVTI plastic intakes for heat dissapation.

I would recommend quiklatch hood pins (if you have or can retain the stock hood latch/release).

Super slick design and work well. Plus no pins to lose.

 

I like these better, the pictures don't show the rubber grommets that the Daystar have.

ive never had any problems with the novas hood pins, but ive had 2 different friends at different times go driving with the pins out and destroy their hoods and windshields.

the novas did try to rattle loose, so each has a couple small tack welds because i didnt have loctite.

 

Scoop looks good. Fit and finish is what I normally see from fiberglass hoods, meh at best. Can probably get it adjusted pretty close and it will look good from 10ft. Love the front bumper. Need to weld me one up like that. Good looking truck.

Would you say there was any noticeable weight difference between the 2 hoods?
