It’s only the driver side but no matter what I do to try and pop it back in, it continually unseats when going over rough terrain. It hasn’t become a major issue yet but I fear it will fly completely off one day….and my OCD kicks in every time I look into my side view mirror.

Never had an issue unless I take it off. Even taking it off half a dozen times, still holds strong. EDIT (On my Tacoma)

Might have a busted tab inside it. Since it's easy to come off might want to check inside

Had this happen on my 2020 Silverado I owned before the Tundra. The dealer had to replace the cap due to a broken tab on the inside.

Since your truck is a 2020 wouldn't that be covered under warranty?

Probably a broken or misaligned tab. Pop it off and look for one that’s a little cock eyed and missing its slot putting a bit of tension in that area. Carefully realign it and snap everything back together.

That’s a good point. Didn’t think about that.

Mine will not stay in place, all tabs are good. I just pop it back in every once in a while.

I replaced mine with painted ones, DS stays on fine, PS does the same as OPs. Sometimes it takes a week other times a couple days. Tabs are actually broken on the DS and its fine, yet all the tabs are good on the PS. I think its just a manufacturing defect since the area that pops out is just a beveled edge and has no clip. I plan to order a replacement to see if its a one off issue.

Same as @Elduder, I replaced my chrome caps with painted OEMs.
My PS does the same thing, maybe not to the extreme your's is in the picture.
I just give it a palm smack every now and then and it pops back into place.
I guess I'm just too lazy to actually pull it off and see if it can be fixed.

Means you're not going fast enough :) jk but yea as others have mentioned, I would pop it off, check and make sure tabs are all pointed straight, and pop back on properly. should be like a 5 min process if that per side.

It’s not snapped all the way in. Just keep pressing until you get it locked in right. It feels like it’s snapped in, but there’s always one more “click” you have to get.

I replaced my chrome ones with colour matched and I easily found a few short videos on Youtube (one by Sparks) on how to pop them off and on without hopefully busting any tabs. Might be good to take a quick look before prying it off for a look. Disregard if you're super capable, I'm not.

First one I did was a PITA. Now I’ve got it down pretty good and can do it in just a few seconds.
