Yes, same bolt pattern. I build Sequoias and install the air box. There was a minor change in design of the airbox from 2008-13 but the bolt holes are in the same location. We still put the old style in the overseas sequoias.

Change out the old mass airflow sensor with the new though. Not sure about compatibility on that end.

Dont do it. OEM is cold air, aftermarket CAI are useless unless you enjoy driving to redline in every gear.

Save your money and buy the hypertech interceptor instead and actually enjoy some gains that are present in everday driving scenarios.

edit: I see what you mean now.

I do have the TRD intake and I like the sound it makes. I've seen a slight increase in mpg with my truck (but mine is mated to the TRD cat-back). Now my truck is lifted with heavy tires, any gain is a mute point, haha.

Hey you should check this out, you'll save some money and it has been dynoed to show 6+hp and he said he got about a 3mpg increase.

IIRC- Gains on the SABM only occur with FI, not on a NA engine.

I called Hypertech today and they don't make the interceptor for the 3rd Gen yet, even thought on their site it shows up to 2014 and neither does Bully Dog.

Hmm thats very interesting as the engines are the same....and lots of 3rd gen folks run it. At least from my nderstanding and reading posts, alot of 3rd geners are.

I have see that also and it shows on their site to include 2014. So I called the tech support and asked them will it also work on 2015 being it's the same as a 2014 for sure and he said that it wouldn't work on 3rd Gen but they are working on it. So I called bullydog also and the tech said pretty much the samething. I would love to get it for my 2015 but I want to know for sure instead of getting stuck with a $380 of uselessness.

Hey just an update, I called Hypertech again and spoke with " The head tech" and asked about the whole 3rd Gen issues. He said that in the beginning of the 2014's Tundra the interceptor was working fine as well as the speedometer kit. Then 70% of the ppl were having issues with lights not working or coming on for no reason. He said that they are looking into the issues and are in the testing stage with both units.:smash:

Toyota programmers probably wrote new code for the 2015's . By design both BD and Hypertech deliberately interfere (intercept) with the Tundras' ECU commands. BD and Hypertech are probably updating their programming code. OEM's don't like aftermarket much to begin with, but there is nothing they can do about it.

They have been having those issues not only with the 14 but 07-13 as well. Its really a hit or miss. Seems most people who throw a fault/MIL are driving/towing in higher elevations...at least from what I seem to gather from reading a very lengthy thread about it on TundraTalk.

A lot depends on what options you may have like Tow/Haul which requires different commands from the ECU for shift points, acceleration, de-acceleration,ABS, etc . It took Hypertech awhile and even Bully Dog longer to come out with their units. Toyota programmers do not make it easy to override their code instructions. There are so many variables that come into play at any given time and aftermarket interceptors have to be able to keep up. If it was easy there would be more solutions out there besides BD and Hypertech.

I did install the G-Tek Fab SABM and so far it appears that it's almost a 3mpg increase. I can't really notice a hp increase but it does sound a little meaner when you stand on it. 20150507_155040.jpg

Do you notice any torque gain at lower rpms from a dead stop or does the transmission shift points from a dead stop differ than before? If you look at a lot of aftermarket CAI specs, their HP gains are usually at high RPM's anyways. How difficult was cutting the fender well access hole? I have the kit but haven't gotten around to install it yet.

When I get on it it seems to pull a little harder then before but didn't notice anything from a dead stop. If your installing it on your '07 it isn't bad at all. The way the AB sits in my truck my hole lined up in the middle of those 2 ground nuts. They include a bolt to relocate the ground wires but I had to cut a little more out of the fender to remove them nuts Or the flange won't sit flat. The good news is the flanges covered the whole area and all is good.

Thanks for that info. It's good know. I was wondering about those ground nuts. Appears not to be a big deal. Cool

Actually not yet. Garage is full of aquariums. Have to work outside and it keeps raining here although today is looking good weather wise. Won't get to it today. I am going at 9am to look at a near new Extang Revolution tonneau of a Tundra that's on Craig's list for only $200. List 489. Can't pass that up. Maybe sometime me this week I can get to it.
