What mounting setup is that for the switchpro? did it come with the terminal blocks and wiring too?

    Lots.
It's the PowerTrays standoff version for mounting on top of your engine bay fuse/relay box.
    https://www.powertrays.com/collections/powertrays/products/switch-pros-powertray-standoff
    $85
You can purchase the accessory bundle for the terminal blocks and wiring or source them separately for a little less.
    https://www.powertrays.com/collecti...essory-bundle-for-switch-pro-powertray-toyota
    $200
There is also a circuit breaker option instead of the marine rated battery fuse version as well.

The only gain from that thing will be noise and sucking more heat in.

Is that surround an overlay? I can see the color difference and the top not being flush would drive me nuts. Just my .02.

    Nice - thanks.
I put in a Rago air comp mount that goes over my fuse box that I plan to use for the distribution. That setup is nice and clean - gives me some good visuals to go off of.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
After weeks of reviewing the detailing threads here, my DIY powers were empowered to give a real go at some serious detailing.

After the wash, iron x, wash/ clean slate, and rinse; I spent a week (off and on in the evenings) doing some paint correction and polishing. I have the perceived luxury of working from home so I could take my time. In order, I used CG’s VSS Swirl/scratch remover, Meguiar’s 3 in 1 compound, CG’s P4 polish. Finished with CG’s ceramic wax.
let everything cure for about 5 days.

These pics are a couple weeks old, first ones I took after doing everything.

Yeah, I'm going to use the SDHQ compressor mount for my back ordered ARB twin whenever it comes in. I liked the Rago one a lot but wanted to use that space for the electrical stuff to be near the battery. The Rago mount is sturdy and flat which makes it configurable for many different applications for sure.

Got back to some interior work this past weekend. I’ve gone back and forth over the last couple years on some ideas for some interior detailing, and finally started making some plans. Along with some AJT gear, I’ve had a console/ armrest cover laying around for over a year, black with red stitching.

    I didn’t do a good job of taking pics during the process. I get consumed with the work and drinking beer in between, and use my phone to listen to music and rarely stop to take pics. But for what I do have…and in order;

I pulled the center console and arm rest lid.
I ripped off the old vinyl cover and the shit foam/ glue mess on it. A lot of acetone and elbow grease! Cleaned with dish soap and whipped with alcohol. I then added some 1/8” dense, closed cell foam all around with an extra 1/4” layer on top. Then applied the cover. I used Weldwood contact cement to glue everything down. See final pic below.

Next, added a little swag to the lower console.
I had some scrap auto leather and red detailing thread laying around so I ran a French seam on a couple pieces to wrap the shifter gate piece. The stitch length is a little longer than what’s on the arm rest, but that was intentional. I’m working on some Katzkins leather for the seats that will have red stitching, and thought it best that the stitching match the thread length on the seats.
I added 1/8” foam before wrapping. Used weldwood to adhere everything.

    1442E9E1-6862-488E-8FA4-D2899F7F255F.jpg

I then added some carbon 5D to the cup holder area, then put the wrapped shift surround in and added the AJT gear.

    928CDB0E-60CE-40C2-B760-227E51D6B359.jpg

Lastly, I relocated my FRAC switch to the back of the console, so that it’s right under my hand when resting my arm. You can see it at the bottom-right of the last pic above. I had to cut a ‘v’ shape piece out of the main console (framing) so the switch connections could fit when reinstalling the console tray.

We did the front Billstein 6112 shocks/springs and the TRD front sway bar (back sway bar on b/o). Did the caliper covers, and the rear 5160's... Got an alignment. I'll describe the ride as much improved... Less cushy than a '71 Cadillac Fleetwood. Typical on road bumps are barely recognizable with less roll and dive in the front...I am anticipating the rear sway bar will improve the sensation the turn side rear wheel losing traction on low speed hard turns... like when I am coming out of my driveway down hill and making a left or right turn the rear wheel can easily break traction (especially in wet).

I added an awning to the topper for camping. I had a custom fab a mounting bracket because the cross bars are wider than the hardware provided.
