Looks good @copmagnet82. I also went with the Xpel XR, 30% front sides and 55% windshield as well. Good combo and like you said it’s a good match color-wise. My state doesn’t allow any tint lower than the top 30% of the windshield, but it doesn’t seem like any of them care too much. I’ve really enjoyed not needing to wear sunglasses on mildly bright days.

    Thank you, sir. :)

Same here, I was shocked how much of a difference that 55% film on the windshield made. I'll be getting it done on all of my cars.

When did tint get so expensive lol. My quotes for XPEL all the way around except windshield is $700 and XPEL+ is $900 is this right ? Like wtf. Of course this is out in DC where the car is.

I paid $640 for the XR, so seems to be about right. I think XR+ was another $220.

I was quoted $300 for the windshield and $500 for the rest, for Xpel XR.

I have the same window tint guy I used for my C7Corvette Z06 and he did my 4runner Pro front windows and now he did my tundra pro front windows to match. $100.00 and they look good. He does a lot of cars and trucks.

I must be out of touch. I got a quote near a place where I'll pick up the TRD for xpel front PPF (bumper, hood, fenders, headlights, mirror caps, fog lights) and window tint. $5k.......bout died. I haven't modified cars since my ITR and Supra days.......and this is why

I might go this route. Although I have read that the XPEL is great at heat rejection and with no cooling feature for the TRD and living in TX, it might be worth it to do it all the way around.

I'll second that. I had semi-decent tint in my last car, but the rainbow swirl was terrible when wearing polarized lenses. This Xpel XR stuff is a big step above anything else I've used.

As far as pricing, find another shop. In my experience, the prices vary wildly. This is the busiest time of year, and most shops in our area are 1 month out. Don't be in a rush, and find a shop that will do the job right without gouging on price.

Truck isn't built yet so I have some time. Hoping as we get into fall time prices go down.

My only concern with spending this much I'm not sure if it'll be my perm truck. "Bought (reserved) on an impulse until my F150 is built.

I paid $850 for XR+ all around including windshield and sunroof, so all these prices seem similar. I think XR was maybe $200-250 less. My truck lives outside in this miserable FL summer heat so I caved. Still not sure if XR+ was worth the additional money in real world results. Probably would just do XR if I could go back.

I also remember the long gone days of tinting your ride for like $150 cash for color stable and $300 for ceramic. Everything is crazy expensive these days.

How did you mount that RTT? Doesn't look like its attached to the front/rear crossbeams? Center cross beam mounted?

I used a two three foot pieces 10g perforated steel square tubing, and those are attached to the center bars of the rack

this is the only picture I have of how it attaches. I can snap a few more if you’d like to see

Yeah I'm not a fan of the predator steps either but I know some people really like them so I'm sure I won't have a difficult time selling them.

I think I know what you mean, so the rack you have is too long for the RTT to secure to the front and rear beams? So you just put in some extra cross beams?

What size rack is that, 58 inch?

It’s not really a matter of it being to long. It’s more that the cross bars and the attachment slides for the ikamper both ran vertically and I needed something coming across horizontally to attach, I didn’t realize it would be a problem until I received it. Luckily I was able to find that pieces of tube steel to essentially turn into load bars.

The blue tape keeps the retainer pins from rattling around and please disregard the trim in the bed, we are remodeling.

That’s my favorite thing about this color. It changes depending on the light.
